  1. I slept on a recliner for about 1 week after surgery. Now I'm in my bed and I can only sleep on my back. When I'm getting out of bed I put my legs down first and then roll to my side and push up with my hands. Good Luck!!!!
  2. Good for you. You're worth it!!!!!!
  3. Yes, hormones going crazy!!!! I couldn't understand it either because I would cry and feel sad. But quite a bit of people on this website told me that it's very common with any surgery. Hang in there, it should subside. If it doesn't, make sure you call your doctor.
  4. I'm so sorry to read about what you're going through. I think if would be scared also. I guess it all depends on how bad you want to lose weight. I was willing to do just about anything. In hindsight, if I really knew how hard the liquid diet before and after the operations would be, I think I would have thought about it a little more. Hang in there, the 30th is only four more days away. You can to do it. With my liquid meals I also had pudding, yogurt and some fruit. Only the day before was I on clear liquids like broth, jello, juices and crystal light water. It goes fast. Sending all my good thoughts and prayers to you.
  5. I don't think salad comes until 8 weeks out. Hang in there. I'm also waiting.
  6. I also have some part skim Ricotta with some sugar and cinnamon sprinkled in it. It's like a dessert!!!!
  7. Sounds great. I think I have to steal it and try it when I get on solid food. Thx.
  8. I'll keep you in my prayers for Tues. Hope all goes well. Keep us posted.
  9. Good luck and wishing you a painless recovery!!!!!
  10. My stomach swelling is going down slowly, but I can hold down liquid. What I have is this searing burning pain on the left side of my stomach when I try to get up or sit down on a recliner or bend down if I drop something. Anybody know what that's about? My doctor said it's normal but it hurts a lot and when will it go away?
  11. I also chose the sleeve because I wanted something permanent. I had the surgery on July 11 and it's been okay. I get these searing burning pains on my left side when I do some activity. I also get depressed somedays. Does anyone know what that's about?
  12. Try some tomato soup and finely chop up some fresh basil. Plain Water sometimes is better than all the sweet stuff. I'm suffering from some depression on some days. What's that about?
  13. Hi my name is Maria. I have read that the gastric sleeve can be done in two parts if you don't lose enough weight with just the first of surgery. You should talk to your surgeon because I'm pretty sure they can do a gastric bypass now to help you.
