  1. You aren't alone. We're all in this together!!!!!!
  2. Welcome!!!! Lots of great people here.
  3. OMG you are me!!!!! I'm 4 weeks out and I've been in a stall for about 2 weeks now. I was getting on the scale 5 - 6 times a day and getting crazy and depressed. My doctor told me if I didn't stop, he was going to send me for psycho therapy. I'm on the scale once a day now and am trying very hard to only get on once a week. I'm not there yet. But thank God for this forum. I now know that whatever I'm going through is very normal. We'll go through it together okay????
  4. Can you do some rolled up low sodium deli ham and low fat cheese with some saltine crackers?
  5. I only had one visit with the nutritionist in the surgeons office and the insurance paid for it. I have another appointment in Sept. so I'll find out then. I have Oxford Insurance
  6. I usually have 1 scrambled egg with 1 slice of weight watchers low fat cheese or multgrain cheerios, or a protein shake.
  7. I don't know because I can bearly eat yet. I'm living on protein shakes and bars.
  8. I had my gallbladder out when I was in my early twenties. but for the VSG it will be about 6 - 8 weeks recovery.
  9. I only had 1 week of pre op diet and I lost 12 lbs. I'm 4 weeks out this wednesday and have been on a stall for about 2 weeks now. ugh!!!!
  10. I'm going to put the scales in my husbands car and just weigh myself one a week. My doctor told me today that if I don't do that then he'll make me seek psycho therapy. I will keep my fingers crossed for all of us!!!!
  11. I'm 3 1/2 weeks out and already been in a stall for 1 1/2 weeks. I get on the scale 5 times a day and am driving myself crazy. I'm also getting depressed over this. I wish I had answers for you and me!!!!
  12. I'm 3 1/2 weeks out and I'm already experiencing a stall. I haven't lost anything for about 1 1/2 weeks now. I do get on the scale 5 times a day and it's driving me absolutely crazy. I don't know why the stall, but it sucks. I'm getting very depressed.
  13. Every time I eat something it's like waking a monster in my stomach. It gurgles and roars!!!!!
  14. Make sure you are excercising now. Do cardio and/or brisk walking and some weight training. The more you tone your body now, the less skin you'll have sagging.
  15. Thanks. It's pretty cool!!!!
  16. Good for you for taking control!!!!!! Congrats on the 120 lbs weight loss.
  17. Tomorrow I will start going to the gym and walk on the treadmill. I have a problem drinking water. I know I need to drink more. I can barely drink a bottle a day. I will try to be more conscious and drink more.
  18. I'm 18 days out and think I'm already in a stall. I'm getting upset and depressed over it. I keep saying I didn't go through all this just to loose 25 lbs. I still have at least 80 lbs to go. I end up weighing myself 5 to 6 times a day and am making myself crazy. I'm ready to through the scale out the front door. How do you get out of a stall??????
  19. I really don't know what I would have done without the recliner. They even had them in the hospital.
  20. I had a very minor breakdown at the kitchen table. Had my surgery on 7/11/12 left the hospital on 7/13/12. On 7/18/12 for whatever reason, maybe grieving the loss of solid food and smelling it being cooked and eaten I kind of freaked out and cried for the rest of the night and kept saying I didn't want to be thin anymore. I'm over it now. I called my best friend and she came over immediately to talk to me. My mom was staying with me and my husband and they were both supportive as well. But I really don't think anyone who hasn't had to go through this really understands. That's why I'm so grateful for this site. Hang in there, it gets better day after day.
  21. Congratulations!!! you look great. Keep up the good work!!!
  22. Good Luck sleeve sisters!!! Don't freak out about the pre-op diet, it goes fast. If you get really hungry try some fresh fruit, fat free/sugar free pudding and premium crackers. It worked for me. I lost 12 lbs on my pre-op surgery. It felt great to be ahead of the game.
