  1. Ask Verizon about a US plan that will include Mexico. You can change your plan for the time you are gone and change it back when you return. This won't help your data, but I've changed the plans for the salesmen I work with several times for trips they were taking. Check to see if you can turn off international roaming on your phone also.

  3. Getting sleeved on November 6, in Ridgewood NJ with Dr. Schrope. My insurance approval was very quick. I was completely surprised and incredibly happy. Good luck!
  4. WOW!! Amazing, congratulation and continued success!!
  5. Ahh... Sleeve sisters and co- Scorpios! I have surgery on the 6th and birthday on the 15th! A great way for us to begin a new year with the new us. Good luck!
  6. Definitely have your surgeon call and have a peer to peer review. Oftentimes, the decision will get reversed. I'm sure your doctor has had to do this before. Good Luck!!
  7. I'm in three weeks also. I am so sorry he scared you, no one should have to be more nervous based on some comments. Keep reading about others' experiences, you'll see percentages are in your (our) favor for a smooth surgery. A professional is trained to run a line into anyone, so if you have to get stuck more than once, ask for someone more experienced. You have had blood tests right? I was never told I was a "hard stick" until my endoscopy. Turns out the nurse doing it, while very nice, wasn't the most experienced. The next nurse told me "Of course this is a little harder, you haven't had anything to drink in 10 hours, you're dehydrated." and poof, she got the line in no problem. There is nothing wrong with letting them know you are anxious before they start prepping you. Like I wrote earlier, read some more. The positive experiences far outweigh the negatives. You will do fine and they will manage your discomfort. Good luck!!
  8. Glad all went well. Good luck on the next steps!
  9. Best of luck to you all!! Very exciting week. Take care and have a smooth recovery.
  10. I tried the sample of the chicken soup and really enjoyed it. Went on to order a bigger tub of it. 20gm of protein a cup.
  11. Prayers and Good luck to you guys!!

  15. I was asked the same question by a very close friend when discussing my plans. I'm preparing for surgery too, and have been limiting my calories and having mostly protein and veggies. There is no way I would be able to exist on 600-800 calories a day without the restriction. The sensation of being hungry and feeling deprived and essentially unsatisfied has always won in the end. I don't really have impulse issues and can be very focused on diet, but in all honesty I'm hungry now at times. Not fun,but knowing there is an end point coming soon, keeps me motivated. I know that there is no way for me to keep this up without the restriction the sleeve will bring. I'm trying very hard to not give into the carbs, Once I have some (especially sweets) I want more. Not too hard for me to figure where my problems lie.. LOL :-)
  16. Glad it all went well!
  17. NJ here, but still pre-op til Nov. 6. I'll be joining the Ex ranks soon!
