Wow so glad to hear all your inputs, and so happy and proud of all your weight loss. This journey is surely not easy but definitely worth it. I too have struggled with buyer's remorse and the fact that this is a forever change. My surgery was July 18th and I'm 21lbs down but i guess a little part of me thought that the pounds would just come off over night. i have 3 kids and preparing the meals for the family has been tough because there food seems yummier than my boring food lol. Its not that im hungry but bored of the same food. I already started the puree. Im still having a little trouble with the protein the highest I've gone is 68g. The shakes are tough to swallow. I could only manage to drink one in the morning.

Congratulations! I am very confident of my surgeon as well. He has an outstanding reputation. This was a very thought out decision for me. I don't believe I have plateaued just losing slower than I expected.

WoW! That's awesome for you both! My surgery was on the 18th. My weight before the preop liquid diet was 228. My weight the day of surgery was 219. I am now 212. i am very discouraged and feel that I am doing something wrong. I feel like I'm starving. My protein intake has been my biggest struggle. The most I've been able to take in is about 49 grams. Today I felt very dizzy. Please I need help!!!!

Thank you for your well wishes. Praying for your journey to begin, and definitely I'm saving you a seat right next to mine.
  5. I'm so excited that my journey has finally begun. I feel like if i won the lottery. I have a new lease on life and I can't wait! Im looking forward to doing all the things I can't do now, like play with my kids on the floor, tie my shoes, go up a flight of stairs without losing my breath, etc... I know this journey will be challenging but its better than not doing anything at all, and allowing my weight to continue controlling me.
