  1. HW: 263 SW: 233 CW: 167 66 lbs and 5 dress sizes
  2. I don't have much luck at Goodwill, etc as I work in a corporate office setting. However, I am also asking friends about clothing exchanges. I also shop sales racks. It's expensive but I'm worth it!
  3. Congrats on your loss however I get it. My goal is to be at a normal BMI too. Yes, BMI is just a number but I made that number my goal. My only though is related to exercise and BMR. How many calories are you taking in vs. burning. Also can you lift hand weights, etc to add muscle?
  4. Wait until the clothes shopping starts. Start saving now!
  5. Nothing scientific here, just sharing my experience. Weight training makes me hungrier so I usually eat about 150-200 calories extra on heavy exertion days. I try not to eat back all of my exercise calories since I am not at goal. I also up my water on those days too.
  6. Vitamins are tough, especially right after surgery. Consider a b-12 shot. They are monthly.
  7. Not sure how far out you are talking. Right after surgery, no gummies but once you are on regular diet, it' s ok.
  8. I used rubbing alcohol as the strips lifted to remove the residue and stop the itching. Hope that helps.

  10. Walk today/now. Take it slow. I started with just going to the end of the street and back. Add a little more each day and try to walk once in the morning and one at night. At 10 days out it is way too soon to worry about a 5k but any walking you do will help clear your lungs from surgery and help you build back your endurance.
  11. Jenn, we are our worst critic. You look amazing. Great job! I prefer the girls a la natural. I'm not trying to lose this weight only to get big boobs that make me look heavy again. I do hope I can get a tummy tuck when I get to goal.
  12. I'm frustrated and also worried about how much more I can eat now. Anyone else's capacity scaring the cr*p out of them? Oye!
  13. Congrats! way to go!! Thank you for the update. I would love to hear more about maintenance at 3 years out. How are you keeping it off? What does your diet and exercise routine look like now?
  14. I'm lazy in the kitchen and these are just heat and eat. I usually add a little sauce and I'm set.
  15. I get the organic chicken meatballs (Brat Hans brand) and organic deli meats (Applegate Farms).
  16. Stalls are typical at anytime. Early on the first one happens around 3 weeks out. Even when the scale is not moving, many people lose inches still. Take measurements so you have a record. You're doing great. It's totally normal to not feel restriction yet.
  17. Totally normal. Do your best to slow down but it is ok. Restriction comes as you move through the stages and get to solid foods.
  18. You can do a search for the specifics but the pouch test is a way to check the capacity of your sleeve. Yes, you can do it yourself.
  19. New Balance are great especially if, like me, you have wide feet.
  20. Couch potato here, trying to be more active. Currently 6 months out. At 1week post op and through 2 months out I walked 4 days a week. At 3 months out, I began working out 2 days a week doing some type of cardio- elliptical or C25k app. Now at 6 months out, I workout 3 days a week for 1 hour with a personal trainer. I still do not enjoy exercise but realize that it is necessary if I ever want to get to goal and maintain my loss.
  21. ^^^^i'm in the boat with you. Lost 63 lbs since surgery. Things are slowing down. Hoping to kick up the exercise to get things moving. We'll see.
  22. I didn't cheat during the pre-op but boy did I want too! I felt so hungry and deprived. I posted here when I felt that way, got support and stayed the course. I think I was simply too scared of the what if. What if something went wrong during surgery or right after because of something I did. Those thoughts scared me straight. Keep the faith, you can do this.
  23. Exactly, you totally get it! LOL!
