  1. I had my surgery May 29. You sound exactly like I did the first week. No pain meds needed, walked, protein drinks, chewables, etc. Just don't overdo because this week, I'm feeling more pain and indigestion. I keep forgetting to take tiny sips! Anyway, feeling tired this week, more so than last. Hopefully, everthing will feel better shortly. Just don't over do it because you feel so good it's not worth it.
  2. I started this journey late Feb. and just had my surgery last week. Your doctor's office will be talking to your insurance company to see what criteria needs to be met. The usual is 3 meetings with Dietician, 3 meetings with a physical therapist, and 3 with a social worker (psyche eval). My insurance, Anthem only needed (1) visit per therapist. I was put on a 1200 cal diet the first week of March and by the time of my surgery I was down 45#. I already had Diabetes and Sleep Apnea so didn't have any problems getting covered. Good luck on your journey.
  3. My surgery is tomorrow too! I'm not freaking out yet. It's at 7:30 am. so I will have to get to the hospital by 6:15 am. I have a huge support system with my daughters and husband. Hopefully all will go well. Lots of people will be praying so I'm thinking positive
