  1. i do ultrasound for a living and both sludge and polyps are NORMAL variants. Sludge would not cause pain. Ultrasound can tell how your gallbladder looks, but not how it functions. There is a nuclear medicine test called a HIDA scan that tests the gallbladder function. Hope you find out what is going on.
  2. I am 2 months out, and had alcohol for the first time this weekend. I turned 40, and wanted to be able to have a glass of wine....so I did. No problems fortunately.
  3. I had surgery on April 19th, and have lost 25 pounds. I am still in the same size too. The only place I can tell is in my face, so I like to say I've lost 25 pounds in my face. I do find that I lose weight from the top down, so I'm hoping by the next 25 pounds I'll notice a difference in my hips.
