  1. it all matters on your insurance company. I had all of that but I didnt have 2 years of medical records so I was unable to get it approved until i had the 2 years of medical records. It took me more than 18 months to get approved.
  2. So, I am almost 3 weeks out and this is my second time I have had the case of the "dumps". The first time was because I had no sugar added fudgicles but this time I havr no idea why. my food today so far has been water, scrambled egg with cheese, 2oz. fresh grouper, protein drink and a no suagr added luigi's italian ice (1g sugar) I have all these foods before. the only thing new today was I started taking my b-12. any help would be appreciated. dumping is NO fun
  3. to me it would be like smoking a cigarette for me. The ONLY reason why I quit smoking was for this surgery. I enjoy smoking and when I saw someone else doing it I would get SOO jealous and my mod would totally change for the first few months. Now I am fine but it took those first few months of frustration to get over it. BTW. we had our fun ... years of eating fried food and sugar laden sweets. we knew that train ws going to have to end. GOOD LUCK
  4. As an ER nurse you could not pay me any amount of money to have a gastric bypass. I see ALL the mistakes and I refuse to live with a colostomy bag. There are very few issues with the sleeve. I may take me longer but I am 40 years old. It took me more than a year to gain this weight.
  5. I have the magic bullet specifically for travel and work. I use the Kitchen ninja at home (my favorite) but the bullet does a great job too
  6. a 1/2 oz of parmesan cheese (hard grated) has 5g of protein in it. it adds a real nice flavor also
  7. I was just sleeved a few weeks ago and my husband is just starting the process to get sleeved also. Trying to get him sleeved before the end of the year since our insurancce deductible is almost totally met

  9. thank you .... feells like this is SO time consuming that all I have done since surgery is find recipes, chart my food, water & protein intake and lots more research. I am just afraid of not losing to goal... havent been to onederland in years
  10. plastic bottles of water when I am at home. i refill them half way , throw them in the freezer. I love iced cold water with MIO.
  11. how many calories are we supposed to getting in post sleeve? I know that we are supposed to have a minimum of 60 G of protein but when you plug it all into myfitness pal. it asks for a calorie number. any suggestions?

  14. I live in Forney. and will be in an 18-20 very soon. would love some clothes
  15. but my question is that right now it says I need to be eating 2300 calories per day. we all know that with a sleeve it's impossible. so how can I change the calories needed? i have only used as a recipe builder.
  16. and start taking colace twice a day. go and get a bottle of Magnesium Citratt from the pharmacy. drink only 1/2 the bottle and watch it work. after you finally go. start taking colace twice a day Hope it all comes out in the end for ya
  17. I saw them !!! I have to wait to be able to eat real food before I can cook them. right now I am having ricotta bake for lunch.The turkey meatballs are for next week when I am in the mushy stage.
  18. thank you for all the replies.... No they are not my meatballs, butI cant have tons of breadcrumb and all the good stuff in them anymore. So husband (who was a chef) tried and we think we did a decent job. Can you believe that not one store around us sells turkey meatballs. so this is my recipe, hope you like it Ingredients Calories Carbs Fat Protein Generic - Homemade Marinara Sauce, 1/2 cup 97 0 0 0 Garlic - Raw, 3 cloves 13 3 0 1 Egg - 1 Large Egg Grade A, 1 egg 70 0 5 6 Onions - Raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) 46 11 0 1 Progresso - Bread Crumbs, Italian Style, 1/4 cup (28g) 110 20 2 4 cheese - Parmesan, hard, 1 oz 111 1 7 10 Jennie-O Turkey Store - Ground Turkey Breast - Extra Lean (99/1), 1 container (20 oz ea.) 600 0 8 130 Total: 1047 35 22 152 Per Serving: 105 4 2 15 I ended up getting 32 small meatballs out of it. With 3 per serving the stats are pretty good. waiting for them to cool and I'll throw them in my freezer.

  20. lol.....just keep it clean and watch for signs of infection. you'll be fine. I go for the pecil holder myself
  21. she is not saying that it is yellow or puss coming from it. she is saying " Today it's a little tender and a teeny bit red/pink around the edges. " Pink/red around the edges is common .... red, hot to the touch and yellow puss coming from it is not good.... but she is not expierencing that per her post.
