Sorry you're having frustration with your co-worker, that sucks. I can tell you are trying so hard, and you don't need his temptations! But....I just wanted to throw this out there, from a third person perspective: I could be way off base but it sounds to me like this person just plain likes you. Could be romantic, but maybe not, maybe even just as a friend. Either way, the way he always was able to connect with you was through food. And now that's gone and he misses you..... but that's the only way he knows.
Like I said, I could be totally wrong, or I just always want to see the good in people. But perhaps his motives aren't to try to sabotage you (although it seems that way). And just remember, it's challenges like these that make us stronger!

I did, it is a sleeve sin I guess, but I am not a perfect person. I have been having wine since two weeks out. It goes down and stays down perfectly(for me). Happy early birthday!

Make a list of pro's and con's. It's a very scary decision and especially if your husband isn't supportive. My husband, parents, friends and family were hugely supportive so that made it easier. It is a lifestyle change but the results are sooo worth it!! I am 49 years old and couldn't find a diet that worked, take care of my disable husband (head injury), work a lot of hours, that I just couldn't make it work. I am not great at the exercise part, but do try to get in 30 minutes 3 or 4 times a week.
There have been a lot of disappointments with the lapband so that wasn't even a consideration for me.
Just my opinion - you're in charge!!

Randi got a reaction from Nurseypoo in Not A Nobody No More! :)
I have noticed exactly the same thing!! I used to hate going out and seeing my reflection everywhere - had now self confidence at all. Now people treat me differently - I'm down 50 pounds to 210 and it's unbelievable what a change it makes. I had a pretty good sense the people treat fat people differently prior to surgery and it's been totally confirmed. People at work are a lot nicer to me as well. It's sad but true, but oddly I like that I'm being treated better.
It's really too bad that everybody can't be fortunate enough to have the chance to change like we did!!

Wow girl - good for you! I love the come back. Most people have been very supportive to me, but I have had the few that didn't agree with my choice. I have two tiny sisters who can eat anything they want and still lose weight, I swear. They didn't say much, but both live far away and we don't talk much. Once the weight starts coming off and people notice how much happier you are (and you WILL be) they should be happy for you. Everybody is different and we all have to make the right choice for ourselves.
    Good Luck!!!

I agree with tmorgan - this is no easy way out. I struggle with it a lot - it's not easy hardly being able to eat anything. My husband also constantly asks me how I do it and how he could never do it. He tells me how strong I am and how proud he is of me. I too tried every diet in the book and it didn't work for me. This did. I have also had friends tell me that I'm being an a*****e telling people I had this surgery because I was able to afford to pay for it myself. How she thought I was bragging about it. Bragging about trying to get healthy? She, of course, doesn't have a weight problem.
fortunately my family is very supportive - and so are my coworkers.

Hi - first of all, stop playing the blame game. It's OK to fall off track. We all do. Once you have the surgery it will be so much easier to make these changes. I only had to do the 2 week protein shake diet before surgery, but had 3 months to indulge, and boy did I ever!! I gained 5 pounds once I got my surgery date set in about a month.
But, surgery date was April 17 and I am down almost 50 pounds. You will great!!! You are making a great choice!!!

Randi got a reaction from KS Fort Worth in 4 Month Postop Anniversary And What This Surgery Has Taught Me + Recipes
I have wondered the very same thing, but I agree with Tiffany has part of the success of what we are experiencing. I know that if I ate as little as I do now I would be constantly hungry, shaky, and unhappy. I know that people who have had the gastric bypass DO get hungry so that's one reason I chose this surgery.
I have been lucky to have only a few people scoff at what I did - one called me an a*****e and a gigantic hypocrite [on Facebook for all to see] to do what I did and actually tell people about my journey. She said that not everybody can afford to better themselves and therefore I was the bad guy. She, I might mention, is not overweight which makes it even stranger.
Oh, well - enough about my little life. I'm happy with the choice I made and YAY for the rest of us!!

I have a fat girl chair at work. It's funny because I was asked if I needed more room. This is a $700.00 chair. Since losing 56 lbs I get teased about how big my chair is now. Just two mths ago I was spread out nicely in the chair, I'm never giving up my fat girl chair even when two of me can fit in it.
I don't know how much you have to lose but don't cover yourself up because even when you lose weight you will still have some part of your body you will want to hide. (extra skin on arms, thighs etc) I say let it all be free fat rolls and extra skin. I honestly prefer my rolls to the skin but I was in pain with the rolls so I can handle some skin without pain.
Don't worry too much about the camper,

Yes, I have pondered those things!!! But without the surgery, I would normally have given up after a month or two...it was too easy to go back to old habits. This surgery has definately been hard work for me! I am at the four month mark and all of a sudden it seems so much easier than it was at first. I hope it continues but I know as the summer progresses into fall new situations will pop up...and the holidays will be so different too. But I have had 42 years of indulging for the holidays and I think that is plenty. Time for new traditions and habits to develope! And hopefully my new habits will rub off on my family and friends! Some of them already have!
Congrats on your journey and keep it up! Isnt this exciting?

I am on day 7 of my liquid diet. Broth has really saved me and SF popsicles. I miss chewing so the popsicles really help. SF jello also helps. The first 3 days were hard but get better. I now start my morning with broth that seems to help.
