  1. This morning I weighed in at 197.6! I haven't seen that in 13 years! I'm new to this forum so most of you don't know me or my story. I had a leak early out and had a rough time for a few months. This makes it all worth it! ***pats self on back*** Jen

    Onederland!

Just made it there myself and nothing beats the feeling. You go girl and keep rocking that sleeve. Big hug!!
  6. I had my surgery on August 3, 2011 and lost 20 pre-op and 140.4 post-op! Loving my sleeve
  7. None of the meds helped me either. I know how difficult this is - there aren't any words to truly describe it but just know that once the stent is out you'll feel better. It'll take time to get your strength back but it will come back. Big hug
  8. So sorry you're going through this. I was sleeved on Aug . 3 and about 1 month later I started getting left shoulder and left side pain. I was also nauseous. My doctor thougt it could be reflux or possible spleen infarct so he put me on PPI. After 2 wks the pain got severe and they diagnosed me with a leak and spleen abcess. The leak was small so the repair surgery failed. I had 2 stents put in in October and was allowed clear fluids only. The stents made me feel like I was having a 24/ 7 stomach virus. They kept them in for close to 10 weeks. I'm feeling better but still suffer from left shoulder and left side pain from time to time. I had a Upper GI in late january which was negative but my CAT still shows some fluid and air. Hopefully it's just leftover from last time. I'll be praying for a speedy recovery. Big hugs to you.

Thanks everyone. I had my surgery at Robert Wood Johnson in Hamilton. My surgeon was Dr. Noyan. He's a great guy and I felt very comfortable with him. I'm seeing him tomorrow to go over my CAT results - hopefully all is well. Jen

Hi everyone, My name is Jen and I'm from NJ. I had VSG on August 3, 2011. In Sept. I developed a leak which nearly destroyed me mentally. I'm still having some issues from it - hoping my doctors can figure out what to do. Anyway, I'm glad to be a member here and getting to know you all. Jen
