  1. This is a positive place for people to come & get support. This is not the first time you've been on here spreading bad vibes. For crying out loud, aren't you the person who wrote about trying to eat a cheeseburger? There are many realities of this surgery posted here. Heartburn, fatigue, stomach swelling, just to name a few, then Tpeople come back on with a word of support. You seem to be doing the opposite. I am sure there is another forum for constant complainers, it's just not this one.
  2. Ugh...I did this tonight. My best friend took me to dinner at Red Lobster & I ordered 8 garlic shrimp, had one of his crab legs & about an ounce of lobster. After watching them eat those yummy bisquits I was ready to eat. I only ate a couple of my shrimp & the other stuff & I felt the worst I've ever felt. Literally thought it was coming up at the table & it hurt, but only for about 10 minutes. After that I was fine. I am however having the hardest time getting enough water each day. Anyway, I feel your pain.
  3. Ask your doctor of you can have Tums. They help me tremedously!
  4. Thank you so much for your post! This is great!
  5. Very helpful! Thank you. I don't feel like I am getting enough protein or water, but I'm still pretty limited. Excited to be losing so quickly! Congrats on your weight loss! Feels good, huh?
  6. I had my surgery in Mexico, so I don't have a NUT. I've been trying to find info online, but have only found sample menus. Can you guys please tell me how many Carbs, Calories & Fat grams I should be eating each day? Thanks for the help. I'm almost 4 weeks out & have lost 26lbs, yay me!
  7. Capt. From what I've read, your stomach is still producing enough acid for a normal size stomach, but your stomach is reduces by 80%, so it "bubbles" over causing heartburn.
  8. Thank you! I am taking runs now b/c the others were too expensive. I have to take meds that are liquid. Do you think I can find liquid prilosec?
  9. I am two weeks today too! Congrats ladies. I am down 17!!! Been eating soft food for a week now. Now just waiting for the heartburn to subside.
  10. I am 2 weeks out & I am having the worst heartburn. It seems like it got worse over the last couple of days. When will this end?
  11. Thank you so much for this reply! It was so helpful!
  12. I want to be 100% honest here because I need some straight answers & I want all the support I can get through this process. I have been in recovery from drugs and alcohol for a little over two years now. I take my recovery very seriously & want to protect it. I have recently been told that there is a high rate of relapse in recovering people who get weight loss surgery because they can't use food to comfort themselves anymore. Has anyone else had any experience with this issue. Please share with me. I want a happy healthy life free from addictions. Id you are in recovery, how did you cope?
