stalled......frustrated!
I was losing a pound or more a day, then 1/2 pound, then 1/3 pound, then less and less but what do you know...I arrived at my goal and fit into clothing that I could have only worn in my 20's! In Orlando, at the highest traffic times of the year, Disney,Universal, Seaworld and huge outlets create a glacial speed parking lot on Interstate 4 and one lives with many stops. Patience is thrust upon you. I admittedly lose mine as witnessed by my relieving myself on the road shoulder with my back turned to the parade, before reaching an exit, it was an explosive situation, a urinary emergency, modesty got ran over. My family had a good laugh though. Anyway, we still got where we were going after many, many, stops. So will you.

How Do I Delete My Profile?
Ok, I come home and hit the forum and 16 notifications! I see they are on the How Do I Delete My Profile? thread and I think, "Another nasty argument!" But, no, just peoples being nice peoples. Darn, nothing for me to try and lighten up with my juvenile humor.

Surgery in the morning...and I am not scared anymore
There is a roller coaster at Busch Gardens, my second home since I moved to Florida, called SheiKra. The nasty thing takes you up a steep hill and then hangs you over a 90 degree drop and lets you think about it for a while before you plunge. Riding it with my granddaughter helped with the fear. I always have to play macho to impress her so instead of screaming I talked to it during the terrifying ordeal, "Is that all you got? You're putting me to sleep here!" My granddaughter was truly fearless, she didn't have to talk trash to it, she wanted to get right back on, which we did..... again and again and again.........> This operation is far more serious than a roller coaster. The concerns are real here. The risks on the SheiKra are statistically nil. The risks of this operation are low but significant. The risks of obesity are not low. The complications of obesity are more like a sure thing. I got this operation because I feared obesity, which I couldn't conquer without the sleeve tool, more than the operation. I also prayed and sensed God's blessing and had confidence in the surgical team. I was calm as well, I was correct in feeling that way, and I am so grateful.

How Do I Delete My Profile?
I sometimes miss the days from my early manhood when a heated debate turned into a fist fight outside. After punching, gouging, and strangling on the ground for a while the anger was dissipated. Arms on shoulders we came back in, better buddies than ever. Blunt force trauma apparently is a cure for ambiguity. I guess I've blocked out the bloody nose, abrasions, and loose teeth part.

fun in the closet!
I already out-shrank those clothes and the set after them as well. It's more fun than a basket of puppies no matter how much it costs!

How do you handle PMs?
When I read the title I thought you were saying, "How do you handle PMS?", (the woman thing). I had my smart aleck answer ready,... "Avoid her." I don't get very many PMs. The ones I do get are very nice, mostly thanks for some post I made. Like Dean I think some folks don't want to expose themselves to general comments so they pick someone whom they think will be sympathetic.

100 Pounds gone 10 pounds to goal
Good job, TommyD!!! If you look at my stats below you will find that they are quite similar to yours. I also work out,...at least 3 times a week. I do high intensity interval training, calisthenics, kettlebells, bodyblade and resistance cables. I have passed my goal and held that now for 1 month and plan on doing so for the rest of my life. I am 64.

Torani recipes
As you can see by the looks of our wine rack which has no wine, just sugar free syrups, we are a big fan of them. Also note that we are out of Torinos. All we have is Starbucks, DaVinci, Artisan, and Jordan's. We love new recipes, all the best to this thread! We just dump them in coffee in combo with milks, creams, benefiber plain flavor, sugar free French vanilla creamer, etc..

How Do I Delete My Profile?
I tried to catch up on all the ins and outs and nuances of this thread but my male brain started over-heating and tripped a breaker which started a movie about fishing reels.

New to forum
Welcome! I am glad you found egg drop soup. That was a favorite of mine in early stages. Rice is iffy as previously stated at least until solid stage. Experiment with just a lttle then to be safe.

Sugar reaction survey...
Debbie's big problem before her WLS was sweets of all kinds. Mine was inordinate amounts of just about anything but I was not so addicted to sweets. It is ironic that sweets is what fights her so hard now. Yet she knows it is a small price to pay for her new health and classy slimness.

Sugar reaction survey...
My wife and myself to some extent are sugar detectors. If there is sugar in some supposed "sugar-free" food we will react. When something is overtly sugary and somehow it gets past our teeth and down into our tiny tum-tums it kicks us real good. She wanted me to poll my favorite forumites to see what goes on with you when sugar does a number on you. She is RNY but isn't much for forums, she is too busy looking in the mirror and buying new clothes. Her reactions: 1. Sweats, hot flashes 2. Pressure in ears 3. Heart palpitations 4. Shaky 5. Headaches My reactions: 1. Nausea 2. Weakness What are your reactions? She also wanted to know whether those of you who cheat, (fess up or I'll turn the lights on ya!), do so with sugary food and how you possibly get away with it. Thanks for your time!

SLEEVED
There is a special place in the darkest recesses of Gman's mind where personified catheters are hung up with chains and tortured night and day.

Feeeling a little frustrated
Hi Saraboo, You will find that nearly everyone on this forum understands what you are going through. We've struggled with ourselves and influences upon us sometimes for many years. Many yo-yo dieters are represented here. I took the drastic step of surgery because it was virtually impossible to lose fat. It was technically possible but in practice really impossible. It was a losing game, I needed back up. I got it with the sleeve. There are a lot of compassionate people here. This is one of the kindest forums I have ever been on. I am not saying everyone is nice, but a vast majority are. Hang in there, we are with you.

Chilli, what kind?
http://www.hormel.com/products/Variety.aspx?ID=15&RecipesOnly=False Hormel's Cook-off series. These are pretty good. My wife makes a mean chili. My mom did ,too. I have to be careful with chili, my overeat food.

Is it me, or does food just taste better now?
Not weird! We went quite a while on liquids and now that the variety is back our taste buds are dancing like Gollum when he got the ring back. Also before I was more concerned with filling up the abyss and not with savoring flavors. Reminds me of a dog I had. You could throw him a piece of T-bone steak, a lobster tail, or an old hot dog, his reaction was the same. Gobble, gobble, gobble and look at you as if to say, "Anything else? I'm still hungry."

Anyone thinking about their mortality?
I said goodbye to my family at home and in the prep room thanked my dear wife for all of the years of happiness. I told her I would see her in the hospital room or at the gates of heaven. There was no fear.

praying
Welcome! I'll join with you in prayer. I had a sleep study and was diagnosed with apnea. It has since been defeated by the effects of getting the sleeve.

Just for a laugh
Deprivation. After 4 weeks at boot camp in the Navy I was dead sick of smelling sweat and after shave and being with men. I was sent to the dental office for extensive work on my mouth. The hygienist was a pretty gal with the best smelling perfume ever devised. To her amusement I made a fool of myself breathing in heavy lung fulls and trying to quench the screaming thirst of testosterone. I thought I loved women before that day but deprivation took me to school. You ladies don't realize how powerful you are just being ladies.
