  1. Woohoo! Love that feeling.
  2. I wasn't but we're all different. I was sore for several weeks and could sleep on my left side for weeks.
  3. My hair has been thinning too. I've started using hair "make-up" to help hide it. I had doc appt yesterday and she couldn't tell. She even said at least your hair isn't failing out. Hopefully it'll stop soon. I'm 3 mos postop. I have been using biotin since before surgery. I dont even want cut it so they wont pull on it.
  4. I'm 3 mos post op and lost 33 lbs including preop diet! So yeah jump for joy. I'm a slow loser & have hypo thyroid but I'm have way to goal. Woohoo!
  5. I had surgery on 02/09/12. No complications or issues thank God. I didn't really have hardly any feelings of why did I do this...maybe because I was expecting it. The pain wasnt to bad either. I didn't mourn food but maybe because I was already used to it from the lapband. I didnt mourn it much then either. I do remember being at a resturaunt watching a young girl wolfing down a huge burger thinking I'll never be able to do that again but who needs that? I eat delicious healthy foods in small quantites to nourish my body. That's the way it should be.

  7. I always go up & down a lb. for about a week then down one more. Then I go up & down again. Thats my pattern.
  8. I had egg drop soup alot during my liquid phase.
  9. Congrats! I'm halfway too
  10. I'll be most excited to wear some perfectly tight hot jeans. Now to just find some. Ahhh. I have a few in my closet I'll be excited to wear size 8 but gotta find those reward jeans.
  11. Kayte will u add me to the secret fb group? I sent u a msg on fb.
  12. Y'all are doing great. I've just been walking on treadmill one to two hours per day. I know I need to start weights I'm having trouble getting started. To much work. It's just easier to jump on treadmill.
  13. I told my Mom I had my lapband taken out. I didn't tell her about the sleeve part. I think it would have really freaked her out and it'd affect her health. She has some health conditions and worries to much. She hasn't noticed my weightloss but she noticed my hair thining. When she notices my weightloss. I know it will be really noticeable.
  14. I'm halfway to goal. Where are you percentage wise?
  15. I'm halfway to goal. (finally) WooHoo. Every pound is a struggle but, hopefully, this time they'll stay off.
  16. Hey Kimmy! I'm doing good. Less than 1 lb away from being halfway to goal! Yay!!! Maybe tomorrow. If not surely in a couple more days. You're doing great! You're more than halfway to your goal too. Awesome!
  17. I had the band and wished I would have got the sleeve to begin with. I was to chicken. It was a big waste of time and money. I did lose weight at first but, then I got to the point were I was vomiting everyday and couldn't eat chicken, turkey, veggies, salad... healthy stuff. I was less than 10 lbs to my goal for about 5 mins then started gaining weight. I'm so happy to have it out. Even if it never had a slippage or erosion, I couldn't live with vomiting for the rest of my life. I'm glad I got the sleeve now. I can eat good healthy food in much smaller quantities. If I had know that the risks were higher for revisions than for virgin sleeves I might have decided to go with the sleeve. Thank God I didn't have any major complications.
  18. When they took the Fluid out of my band. I could eat more and was hungrier. I think it's only natural we can eat more without as much restriction. I just tried to eat healthy as possible.
  19. Good luck Candyman! Hope your family wakes up. Keep us posted.
  20. I snack on walnuts & my HDL was real good.
  21. I'm hypo too. I need to get mine checked but I'm 3 mos post op and feel ok. I've been a slow loser for years which I attribute to my hypothyroid.
  22. Get a couple of cans of chicken broth but not to many. I still have tons left. Sf popsicles too.
  23. Dorrie I call that a muffin butt. LOL
  24. Congrats! That's awesome. I'm almost 12 wks out too. I'm so excited to be in the 170's and be just normal overweight instead of obese.
  25. Thanks Bionic. I'm grateful for getting healthier every day. Can't wait for my post op lab work. Your posts really helped me when I was preop and terified.
