I am in fla for my daughters college graduation my mother who is not happy the surgery and told me there was nothing wrong I have lost about 25lbs it has been a month. I did not tell her till after I did it all she could say was I should not have done it and how beautiful I always look. this is coming from a 76 year old woman who plays tennis every day works out at curves and diets all the time. she is in good shape I have about 50 moren pounds to go. everyone else said how good I like she said she cannot notice any change it did not bother me just amused me. that is why I stayed with my daughter not my mother on a positive my two ex husbands were they were much friendlier then they have been all in all it was a great day. my ex husband has got to weigh about 400lbs I did tell him about the surgery he said he was not interested didn't push the issue

moms can be stubborn.....I didnt tell mine or my mother in law. ( I actually didnt really tell anyone except hubby and 1 of my 3 kids) I dont feel the need to explain how I am losing, its nobodys business. hope your mom comes around!

I told my Mom I had my lapband taken out. I didn't tell her about the sleeve part. I think it would have really freaked her out and it'd affect her health. She has some health conditions and worries to much. She hasn't noticed my weightloss but she noticed my hair thining. When she notices my weightloss. I know it will be really noticeable.
