  1. My surgery is on Dec. 5th and I have my pre-op nutritional evaluation scheduled for today. The first one just consisted of the dietitican asking questions about what and how much I ate. I was truely honest with her because it was clear that being over 300lbs didn't happen by eating a half cup of ice cream. At any rate, they will go over what you can expect your new sleeve to hold and how many calories as well as what you should be eating. This visit isn't a pass/fail, it is more so instructional and gives you the opportunity to pick the brains of a person who can really assist you in reaching your weight loss goals. That's the way I looked at it.
  2. As my surgery date approaches (Dec. 5th), I am slowly losing my mind! I start my pre-op diet on Wednesday (Nov.16) and on that day I also meet with the surgeon, anesthesiologists, and have all my final blood work done. I am sooooo nervous! I guess its just not knowing what to expect. I definitely understand.
  3. I got approved about 2 months ago but wanted to have the surgery done closer to my employer's preapproved break. Just didn't want to be out of work so long without pay. My surgery date is Dec. 5, 2011. I AM SOOOO NERVOUS! I'm not sure if I'm nervous about the procedure, the weight loss, or of what I will look like. I just don't know what to expect and I am super scared.
