I promised myself that once I started losing weight, I wouldn't date anyone that I knew from my 'heavy' days, if they weren't already interested in me back then. I'm 30 and I've already been divorced once, so I'm not going to get married again unless its with the right man, and I don't believe that the right man is someone that would be that shallow... Well, I'm arriving at the hospital tomorrow at 7:30am. I'm as ready as I can be. I'll tell you all about it when I get to the other side! Nervous excitement! Send up some prayers, Banana Babes!

I would love to hear some questions I should ask at my pre-op appt next Wednesday, what I should pack for surgery, all that good stuff :-)
I am so excited!

Had my surgery yesterday (Halloween) morning and just got back home this afternoon. The surgery went off without a hitch and other than some aches and a bit of discomfort with the 6 holes and 35 staples in my tummy, I'm feeling great. I now believe I may have overthought the whole process a bit prior to the surgery....it wasn't anywhere near as hard or as painful as I had made it out to be in my head. Thank you to everyone on here that gives their time to share their experience and answer the many questions from the pre-surgery folks.
It all now seems a bit surreal....my life's new chapter has begun!
