I need to be added to the roster!! I'll be sleeved on the 15th!! Woohoo!! Oh I'm Joyce by the way!! Started my journey in October and it seems like things moved very smoothly!! I'm self paying though, so I didn't need to worry about all the insurance red tape. As the day gets closer and closer, I find that I am panicking... I've gotten all my Protein and tried all the different flavors of Crystal Light that I could find, got my gas x strips, heating pad, measuring cups and strainers and mixing cups, cases of Water and gatorade... And yet I'm still panicky... I think I'm just afraid that I've come this far and its been so easy, that something is bound to go wrong either during surgery, or right before and I won't be able to have it done... Just gotta keep praying for strength Congratulations to all of you who have already gotten sleeved this month, and good luck to those of us counting down the seconds!!

My surgery is on the 15th and I'm a nervous wreck!! Don't get me wrong, I'm so very excited, but just nervous...

Congrats to you!! My surgery is scheduled for November 15th!! I, thankfully, only have to endure a one week liquid diet. I start mine Tuesday, and I'm sure I'll be super tempted as well lol. Just gotta stay strong!! Good luck and best wishes!!

Hey everybody!! I'm 30, class of '00!! My daughter says that I became old the day I turned 30... What does she know?? Lol Surgery Nov. 15th!!

I was the same way!! The second my doctor gave me my surgery date, I was a maniac with food. I don't know how I managed to not gain weight during that time, because I attended a lot of "food funerals" lol!! I just started my pre op diet yesterday and its been easier than i thought

If you know anyone that has a military Id card and access to the commissary on any of the bases near you, have them pick you some up there. I got my sublingual B complex with B12, Citracal Petites, women's multivitamin (for now), chewable multivitamin (for after), iron, and Complex B for $30 and its a month and a half or so supply, based on what my doctor suggested I take. I also bought some Flaxseed Oil (instead of fish oil) but I can't remember how much that was, not much though.

You are absolutely right!! I haven't really thought of it that way!! I was worried about all the things I could have gotten for my daughter or places we could have gone, but all of that means nothing if I'm not here to enjoy those things with her, or can't participate because of my weight. Thank you!! I feel a little silly now lol... This has been such a rollercoaster emotionally!! But, I only have 15 more days until my new birthday!! Thank you again girl!!

I'm starting to get very nervous as the date gets closer. I think its because this is my very first surgery ever... I'm also starting to feel guilty. I'm spending a lot of money to have this surgery, and I keep thinking of all the other things I could have spent the money on... Ugh...

I promised myself that once I started losing weight, I wouldn't date anyone that I knew from my 'heavy' days, if they weren't already interested in me back then. I'm 30 and I've already been divorced once, so I'm not going to get married again unless its with the right man, and I don't believe that the right man is someone that would be that shallow... Just my opinion

Hello everyone!! I am so happy that I found this forum!! I've not really told anyone (except my parents) about my decision to go forward with weight loss surgery, so I've been feeling a little lonely lately. My surgery is scheduled for Nov. 15 with Dr. Stowers in Decatur, TX, and I am so very excited!! I am self paying, and I just finalized the loan paperwork yesterday at the bank. Just wanted to say hi, and I'm looking forward to reading your stories and sharing mine
