Had my surgery yesterday (Halloween) morning and just got back home this afternoon. The surgery went off without a hitch and other than some aches and a bit of discomfort with the 6 holes and 35 staples in my tummy, I'm feeling great. I now believe I may have overthought the whole process a bit prior to the surgery....it wasn't anywhere near as hard or as painful as I had made it out to be in my head. Thank you to everyone on here that gives their time to share their experience and answer the many questions from the pre-surgery folks.

It all now seems a bit surreal....my life's new chapter has begun!

I leave tomorrow for surgery Thursday. Nervous, but confident everything is going to be ok.
