Lynette - Thanks! Chim - About the rude GNC dude. If he ask you why you have to have this and you can't use that, Look him straight in the eye, expressionless and say, "Because it makes me invisible."

Hello Everyone, I'm back from my pre-op appointment. I met the anestheiologist at the surgical center. He was nice and the place was very clean and nice looking. Then I had an appointment with my surgeon. He was really running behind on appointments. Like 2hrs. So this morning thing took all day long. However, after today I am much calmer about everything. About the DaVinci Syrups if ya'll have "World Market" in your area they have a large selection. I asked my surgeon if the lapband he uses has two sizes, cause I wanted to know how he decides the size. He said he uses a new one that only comes in one size. He said he has been using it for 6mths. I saw this new band when I was searching the web Tues. I saw it on a Dr.s website that was on Obesityhelp.com. On his site he said he was the only Dr. using it. I guess he ain't. Anybody know about this new band, anybody have it?

Kathy - Where I live we only had minor damage. Thank God, but many people are still living in Fema trailors around here. I also think I am going home after surgery without spending the night.

Kathybad - You are such a great person!! I'm a disciplinarian at my school so I see the hell many of students come from. You are so lucky you get to remodel. I want to build a garage with a bathroom, and we can't get a freakin plumber to start the job. I'm down here in Katrina land, you would think after two years we could get contractors but it looks like it's impossible. Renee - Scroll to the top of the page, click on new post, read the list, and you will see the polls, there is 2.

When I was typing my previous post my DH was looking so I had to explain to him what this was. I told him he will have to post ya'll a message if something happens to me. So he says, "I can't do that, you type up a letter in case you die, and I'll post it." I tell you that man loves me!!!! Is that sweet or what? Question - I have a 2 story house with my bed upstairs. How long do you think it will be before I can make it up the stairs after surgery? Wrangler - I also have Panic Attacks, been on med. for 16yrs. My major fear is the anesthesia, I am praying I don't flip out.

Good Morning All, Yes it's noon, and I'm finally up. It's summer, and I'm a night owl. I only have two or three more weeks till I have to get up at 5:30 everyday. dmtjet - Ann Wilson from Heart also has a Lap band. Cazulay - I think you asked about the scale I bought. It is a Health O Meter from Walmart. You can program up to 4 people in it. Starting weight and height and it calculates losses or gains. It also does body fat, but the number is wrong cause it also does something with how hydrated you are. I like it so far. dieka32 - OMG Wow! Glad your feeling better. ReneeMarie- I'm also nesting. I actually mopped the whole downstairs yesterday, and I don't mop!!!!! tnavarro5 - Welcome, and your doing great. About telling - So far I have told my family and the people who I work with at school. About my camping buddies, their not fat so that's a different story. The last time we went camping some chick comes sit by our fire and proceeds to tell us how she's now eating protien at every meal and counting carbs. I'm like I stave, and I can't lose weight. And their like you have to eat. And I'm like, I've 44, been fat forever, tried everything and I NEVER FREAKIN THOUGHT OF THAT!!! I am so glad you told what I need to do. She speaks for about 30mins. about what her skinny ass does to keep off her extra 15lbs she put on. So I have decided to tell camping buddies. I am counting carbs, I eat protien at every meal, and about 800 calories a day. I know they sure and the hell couldn't live like that so let them wonder. :biggrin1:

Hi Everyone, I just got back for Wal-mart. I bought a fancy new scale that can track your weightloss. And what a freakin coincidence I weigh exactly the same thing as my 6 foot 1 husband. If I wasn't gettin my band I think I might be suicidal. :angry Welcome KC1228 your gonna get the band on the same day as me. Yippee!

Lucky # Sevens- July 07 Bandsters
Hi Everyone, This will be quick cause the family's waiting for me to go to the Wal-Mart with them. I live on the Westbank of the Mississippi River from New Orleans. I'm about 10 miles from the now world famous Super Dome. I'm 44, been married for 23 years, and have two children and a Westie. My daughter is 22, and my son is 15. I taught school for 16yrs. and now work in administration. The lap band is what I'm buying with my raise. This is my 4th day on the pre-op diet, and I'm a little hungry. People eating food on the TV are ticking me off. We also like to go RVing, but my elderly Mom is living with us now so it's hard to leave. I have to go the family is complaining about leaving for Wal-Mart. I don't think they understand that they should not be threatening a hungry fat woman.

Hey Lynette, My doctor said no grits because they expand in your stomach. My neice had the gastric bypass about a year ago, and she just had grits. She said they made her sick. So go slow on the grits.

Hello Everyone, Lynette- your son is adorable, I'm jealous, I haven't had a baby around in 15 years. I always used to make my son say he'd never stop giving me kisses. Now I only get a kiss when he wants something. The only thing I get to snuggle is the dog. Icy - No pain meds. :omg:OMG, my doctor wouldn't get away with that crap. Ask him if he could take a vasectomy with a tylenol, the schmuck.:angry This is my second day on my pre-op diet, so far so good. I haven't beaten anyone up yet.

Chimboree- I was just wondering did you have to take antibiotics for H-pylori? In May, I had my first appointment with the clinic. They tested me for H-Pylori, said I was positive and gave me antibiotics. Major antibiotics for 2 weeks. I finish them, and 2 weeks later I get a bladder infection. What's up with that? So then I have to go on antibiotics again. I finished those about two weeks ago.

I have a ticker, I have a ticker, I have a ticker, hey, hey, hey, hey! Bobbert's Mom - Camel Toe, One of my camping buddies explained what that was to me several years ago. I was clueless. Did you ever get the e-mail of the song Camel Toe to the tune of the Beach Boy's Kokomo. Hilarious!!!!! What is lip balm for? Please say I will not be that thirsty. My surgery is not until 1:00PM. If I sneak a speck of water, will I risk death?

Lucky # Sevens- July 07 Bandsters
Lynette, I think I may have my ticker done. Let's see.

Hello Everyone, My screen name comes from the SNL skit Mango. Several years back, me and my friend would write notes. She made me make up a nickname for each of us and Mango stuck. 24 is my birthdate and now it is also my surgery date so it's like a second birthday. Bobbert's Mom- Hope you feel better soon, and Bobbert is Gorgeous! dieka32- My dream piece of clothing is to be able to wear a swimsuit without a 2XXL t-shirt on top of it. If I could just wear it with some shorts I would be grateful. :help: anyone remember where the directions are for getting the ticker on my posts? I know I read it somewhere. I know how to go to the site, but I don't know how to get it on my post.
