The 8hr drive will probably take 16. Traffic is a nightmare. Much of lower LA is evacuating. We are on the worse side of the storm this time. Que Sara Sara However ya spell it. Oh, I forgot, thank GOD I have Xanex this time. I will never let what happened for Katrina happen again. I had two old faded Xanex for Katrina, and I had massive panic attacks. Thanks for the prayers everyone.

Hi All, Taking a break from packing. I packed all my pictures. That's a job. I need to scan them all and save them on the computer. Taking all these pictures for evacuation is ridiculous. I have to start packing the clothes. We are going to Little Rock. DH has a room from his company. We will leave early tomorrow morning. DH is boarding up the windows. He has stainless steel bolts sticking out the house around the windows. His boards have been cut for about ten years. He slips them over the bolts and screws them on with a bolt. For Katrina, I had to help. Now sonny boy is actually helping. I walked outside, and DH is putting the board over the front door. Sonny is handing him the nuts. This is what I hear..... "You dropped one of my nuts Boy." Ya gotta laugh through this shit!! People are flipping out around here. An unsavory character just drove down the street in his hoopty checking out whose leaving. We don't just have to worry about damage, we have to worry about being looted. And they don't just loot, they DESTROY. You'll never hear what the crimanals did to this place on the news.

Hi Everybody, I'm just checking in. I saw some talk of scallops and that reminds me I have some in the freezer. If you're watching the news, it looks like I will have to evacuate. We will decide Sunday. I will cook some stuff in my freezer tomorrow. I have shrimp and scallops. I will remove everything from the freezer and fridge this time. OMG, I don't wanna live like this. This is a freakin nightmare. I wish I woulda sold my house after Katrina and hit the road. We're stuck here now. Even if this one misses us, there is one right behind it. If this storm hits to the west of N.O., we are screwed!!!!

We're off to a great start. :biggrin: Karri - I've been on Tofranil for about 17yrs. My doc suggested I change cause it's old and not prescribed much anymore. I said no. If it any broke, don't fix it. I take it for panic attacks. I also notice mild OCD when under stress. I started having them when I was 27. I also won't switch because it causes no libido problems. I have been lowering my dose because I think it makes it harder to lose weight.

Thanks Steph, I'll look for the pineapple bacon but we may not have them. I bought the chicken, cheese, spinich, and I think it may have been the only flavor. We made some pineapple kabobs with them and grilled them. They were very good, but I would like to try out the other flavors.

Jackie - so sorry you have to go through all that crap, I don't know what I'd do. I'm dealing with my Mom having the blood clot and can't imagine what I'd do if I had to wait for medical help. I forgot to tell ya'll. She had me sit up and drink with the needle still sticking out of me. Then she pulls it out while I'm sitting. It was a not nice feeling. I could feel a big thick needle tugging out of my body. Weird, horrible, feeling. O.K. I seriously need to go to bed. I forgot to go pickup my perscriptions again today. 4 days without my syntroid. I'm a butthead.

Good Evening Everyone, I had to rush to my nurse this afternoon in the pouring rain for an unfill. She was gonna leave early so I said well I could come in the morning. She said no come now I'll wait. Do it now or you'll have a miserable night. I could only swallow liquid, and it hurt to do that. I just had some potato soup and it was devine! I haven't eaten food since Sunday night, only protein drinks. I was at 8 on Monday, she put in 1, took me to 9. Today she took out .5cc. I said I'm sorry I'm so hard to please. She said Oh no you're not, I have a lady that comes in every week. I have been rushing around all day. Brought my Mom to 2 appts. this morning, suspended my first little darling. And after all this Aunt Flo has finally decided to visit. She hasn't been here since the week after my surgery 2 months ago. My doctor is across the highway from Dillards. I need school clothes, so I went look. I was looking at shirts in the plus size cause it was a RL tshirt with RL written across the front in rhinestones and thats my DH's initials. The lady asked if i needed help. I said no. She said my name is ..... if you need me, but do you need to be in plus size? Ain't dat just freakin dawling? You now this is plus size right? 11:00 and I still have to dry my hair. I don't know how I will stay awake tomorrow. :biggrin::sleep:

Steph- I happy too. I was really afraid I had a stretched pouch or something. I'm need a DVD recorder. It's almost 11, and I'm still watching the Olympics. Phelps is coming up, I ain't going no where. America is whooping ass and taking names is men's swimming. BUT I have to say I like China's uniforms the best. Their jackets are beautiful, I want one. Yellow and Orange, gorgeous!! China's men in gymnatics are unbelievable.

Hi Everyone, I'm so happy ya'll are watching the Olympics!!! I was talking about it to a few people at work and they said they don't watch them. I wait 4 years for them. If ya'll got to see the opening ceremony it was stunning. OMG!!!!! I went for a fill yesterday afternoon. I told her I still didn't feel much. She checked my level, I had 8. She said, then I'm gonna take you up to 9. She said see if you can drink the water. I said I'm gonna stay a while cause I wanna make sure. She said I don't think you're gonna go anywhere. So I went in the waiting room and drank five small glasses of water. She comes back and says if you're still drinking that water we have a problem. I said this is my 5th glass, but I want to talk to you. So I talked to her about my concerns. She said if this one doesn't work, she will order a GI. So I go home. My appointment was at 3:00. I had two Slimfast before. This morning I PBed a Slimfast, I think I drank too fast. I had 2 more protien drinks today. I tried to eat cottage cheese tonight and PBed. I just melted my medicine in hot water and PBed it. That was truly gross! I'm sure I will have to go back and get some removed. BUT, now I am very happy and relieved to know it is still working. The taste of that medicine in my mouth is repulsive.

I have been going every week for the past 3 weeks. Tomorrow, I will ask about an upper G.I. I have an appointment with my primary doctor on Wed. I will ask him about it if the nurse doesn't seem concerned. If I go through him my insurance will have to pay.

Hey Everybody, Linda - Loved the story, those younguns got you good. Janet - I don't suspend for self defense. You have the right to defend yourself, but if someone is breaking up the fight you better stop. My first day with the kids tomorrow, AAHHHHHHH I'm pretty sure I have a fill tomorrow. I will have to ask my principal to let me leave a little early on the 1st day of school. I still do not feel the restriction I had before the BR, and I now have 8ccs. I'm really quite worried.

Hey Everyone, For some strange reason this computer is not letting me change font or size or color. Any hoo- Janet it was just a thunder storm rolling through last night. The hurricane was just a one that hit near Houston last Tues. It formed around Mobile's coast, we just got a little rain. I made it throught the work week, the kids start school on Monday. Then the real fun begins.... One thing about my job, it sure in the hell ain't boring.

Wanda - I got my band 7/07. It was stitched the way yours is. I was under the impression most if not all lapbands are now done this way.

We just got home from the oral surgeon. It was the first time my baby has been put to sleep so I was really nervous. They also numbed his mouth so he can't swallow his pills. I hope he doesn't wake up in too much pain. He rinsed his mouth out and seeing the blood made him pale. I went straight to get his meds after the appt. I bought a bottle of apple cider viniger and 2 drinks for DS. The lady put all 3 in one bag. I pick up the bag, it busted, the vineger fell from counter height onto my big toenail. I almost passed out. It hurts like a @#$!$@@$. I just had major filet me like a fish surgery and I felt nothing like this. I just took some meds. It's throbbing like a @#@$! Steph- I don't know how you lived through it. I may not survive this.

Hello Everyone, My A/C downstairs is not working so I'm sweating like a heffer. Plus I just exercised so I'm extra sweating, I'm working up a nice stench!!! Thank God my house is two story, so the heat rises. If is wasn't we'd be dying. Steph- I told my DD your fingernail story. She said, "Yeah, it happens." I guess it happens a lot wherever she comes from. Last year my DS was riding his bike while we were camping and something stung him on the lip. His bottom lip swoll up the the Bubba in Forrest Gump. I went back to work Friday. I truly hate it. This year is gonna suck. I told ya'll at the end of the year I pissed off the cop at our school. Guess he'll take it out on me this year. I was hoping to go to another school. :teeth_smile:

Steph - I tried the cottage cheese thing, but I feel I stopped eating because I had enough, but not because I was full. Hard to explain but not full as in no more can fit, because I have basically no restriction. Dammit, my paragraph just disappeared. I went in Monday, I thought the nurse was gonna investigate, but she just did a fill. I now have 8cc., which seems like A LOT to me. If I still feel no restriction, I will insist on an xray Bowzer from Sha na na is on TV right now, I haven't seen him in years. He reminds me of Ray Ramono's brother Robert. Glad to see everyone made it home safe. Janet, my QVC coat came in this afternoon, I may send it back for a size smaller. I love it.
