  1. Well, I woke up from surgery not able to drink water and did not eat again for about 4 months! I had a twisted stricture. I am fixed and better now. Happy that I had the surgery. But complications most certainly do happen. Surgens are human. You sign a waiver. And if they happen to you it is 100 percent you. Having said that lucky they are rare. I went to a centre of excellence. They covered all costs of making me better. And the bill was huge. The surgeons were so caring. It is not always the fault of the patient.

    Sleeved And Thrilled!

Yaay! Happy for you! I am sooo happy with my sleeve. I love my new thin body. I am sure you will too! Not to much better.

    Mexico Vs Us

I wound not go anywhere that would leave me stuck if I had a complication. Although rare, they most certainly do happen. I did have a complication and it was looked after. It took 6 months before I was better! And what I went through would make your toes curl. So, that is just my two cents. Like I said too complications are rare. I just suggest being covered.
  4. I am so sorry to hear of your complications. I was sleeved August 1oth 2011. And did not eat again until Christmas Eve! Soft mushies. I had a stricture. Kinda same as a leak as far as plan of action goes. I had a stent too. Feeding tubes. Etc etc. It is very difficult when you are going through it for sure. Hang in there. I know it doesn't seem like it now but, you will be better. You will. These things are fixable. Hang in there.
  5. I am happy to hear your doing better. lol. I didnt read the whole story but it appears you have been through the gamet. Happy to hear you are well.
  6. OMGoodness... I was so freaked out by thinking my hair was going to fall out. And basically resided myself to that reality before I had the surgery. I am not all that vain. But I have really long hair and have had it all my life long. So, it would have been really weird to loose it. But I worried in vain. Sure, I lost some. But not a lot. Only noticeable to me. I wish I didnt worry so much. Most people only notice themselves. And it grows back.
  7. I second guessed my decision to have the sleeve too. I backed out once. Cancelled the surgery. Managed to have the surgery done and was the less than 1% with a major complication...lol. I really understand how rare I am. And rare is the right word. I can tell you. This surgery was one of the best decisions that I have ever made for myself. I am so grateful for it. I weigh 138 with a two lb bounce. Thats ok because I am 5''7. And a size 4 lululemon pant. lol. I am really healthy my bloodwork came back excellent last week. I am never ravenously hungry anymore. But can eat pretty much everything just not a massive amount. The funny thing is you dont want to anymore. But I still enjoy food. You know I feel so good about myself. I really wish my happiness for everyone.

What Is It Like Years From Now?

I had my sleeve done August 2011. I did have a major complication. I had a stricture. Went through a very tough time... I can tell you though that I am a very rare case. And I sooo glad that I had this surgery done. There is pretty much nothing I cant eat. Just smaller portions. You dont want more. You change. Your full. You dont want more! lol. I just had my complete blood work done. I am lacking in nothing and very healthy. I weigh 138 with a two pound bounce. My goal is 135 but, whatever. Anyways, I feel great! So great! I look great. I am happy now. I lost that same 60lbs so many times over. It was time to get off the crazy train.
