Someone said they had a ninja did you make the ice cream in that? I have one and if i don't have to buy an ice cream maker all the better! Anyone?

Yes forms are forms.. Trish used to coordinate for both doctors and omar just moved over to dr. Kelly's.. To tell you the truth.. i had been up in the air about either doctor down to the last 3 weeks. I think they both would do an excellent job. I went to Dr. Ponce De Leon and had an amazing experience and felt very well taken care of, much better than the US docs. One thing that some coordinators might offer a lower price just depends on the location the surgery will take place. Dr. Ponce does his surgeries w/ trish at INT hospital or florence Health (same as dr. kelly) and it cost's the same. I had another coordinator who had dr. ponce at a lower rate but it was at the same clinic that dr. alamanza does his, that's why it was lower because it wasn't at a hospital. I loved going to INT.. i even got the video of my whole surgery that way if i had anything go wrong they can see exactly what they did. I'm not sure if other doctors offer this. I think either doctor kelly or ponce are really good at what they do. I just felt more comfortable with dr. ponce and loved going to him. I know it can be a tough decision but either way this surgery is an amazing life changing surgery.. i'm only 4 weeks out and down 33 pounds. Good luck on yours!! Much Love!!

I'll take taller lol... got to when you are only 5'4" thanks everyone for your wonderful comments.. they help alot especially this week when i'm in my stall.. but at least it's an expected stall.. Can't wait to push my way through this...started toning my arms last night.. bought a cool tension cord workout that hooks to your door.. it worked awesome... Nice to hear newfoundlove... Does it really feel like 4 weeks has gone by? It seems to go so fast.. especially when it felt like forever until surgery day!! I can't wait to see the next few months go by.. i even organized my closet of jeans.. i coulnd't beleive how many size 20 to 16's i had.. no wonder i felt like i never had any clothes.. i had two pairs of 24's that i had told myself i was not about to go up another size they were really tight.. and now they are so baggy on me.. i have one pair of 22's i've already slipped into.. so nice to actually go down and get to wear your clothes again.. :-)

Just wanted to post some of my progress here. In 4 weeks including my preop weight loss i have lost a total of 33lbs... i'm so happy about this i can't remember the last time i finally believed i was going to make it work and lose this weight. I am so glad i made such a wise decision and finally followed through with this surgery. I am loving sleeved life so far and can't wait for the future.. Here are my first before and after's.. :-) Before's are on the left hand side. I had wanted to take a picture in the same outfit.. but i'll be darned if i can't find my white capri's.. so i put on a pair of 20's and low and behold they zipped up and buttoned alot snug.. but stilll nice anyhow!!

I took those presurgery but post surgery they make me gag.. they are too huge.. and taste like sour candy to me.. i had to switch to Centrum liquid.. for now.. i just want to take it and be done with it..it took me 15 minutes of chewing those Vitamins.. lol

Hello 3 weeks post op and knew after a eating most my lunch that i shouldn't finish it but old habits die hard... eww i had the most neauseaus feeling.. almost puked.. I am not eating anything else until i feel totally empty. Havn't felt restriction like that before.. now i know the feeling.. anyone else do this as well early on??

Hey candyman i have pictures of that stuff it was soooooo nasty I felt like i was drinking windex cuz it looked like it too... your tongue is going to be blue for a few days... But I made it through LOL and i'm glad he does so many leak tests.. he does two when you are done with surgery then you have the blue drink... then before you leave the hospital you'll go downstairs and drink the clear stuff.. thank goodness you don't have to drink all that.. just until they can see it going down and through your sleeve... good luck the worst part is over... hope you loved dr. Ponce i know i did... and trish loved her...

krista are you getting in protein? I made sure and got my protein in.. and i felt better.. also make sure you are taking your multivitamin. I have the unjury chicken soup broth that i used quite often along with the chocolate splendor and unflavored. I've been putting a scoop of the unflavored in with my water and crystal light... that's the easiest way to get in the protein.. you might be feeling dizzy from that. You can also email trish and she can ask dr. ponce. Hope you feel better soon.

Congrats Mommyinneed the hunger will be over soon!! So excited for you... I made sure to have enough Protein in to make me not so hungry before i fasted. Hope your surgery goes smoothly.. can't wait to hear back!! Take care!! Holly

i've been living off unjury chicken soup.. and their unflavored..that's especially helpful in getting your protein in... since you have to drink water anyways i put in my crystal light and a scoop of unflavored and it tastes fine.. can't taste a difference... but the unflavored scoop gives you 20grams of protein... The other day i had a sample left over of their vanilla.. so i put that in with my water and crystal light orange.. and it tasted like an orange julious it was fabulous... i had my surgery may 3rd... good luck

I'm 9 days post op.. i sleep on my side.. i take turns on each side all night long.. I slept ten million times better in my own bed than i ever did in the hospital. I'm still on liquids i won't be eating anything besides that for two more weeks. Lot's of Unjury.. unflavored in my crystal light. The other day i had unjury vanilla mixed in with crystal light orange... it tasted just like an orange julious it was sooo yummy except that was the last sample i had so i'm going to order some more. I'm ten pounds down since surgery and feel great!!

Thanks for all the advice.. i ended up taking them off.. because i had the glue on the stitches too.. it had leaked out some pus but it wasn't green.. i had my husband clean out my wound and put some neosporin on it.. then we put band-aids.. guess what this morning it's not so red and that pain has diminished like 90% it feels soooooooo much better.. i think my skin didn't like having that steristrip tape on it... thanks for your advice ... love feeling better!! My doctor said to leave them on till they fall off which is fine.. but i have one incision that started being a little painful to the touch.. and is pink around the edges... How soon did your bandages come off? And is this normal to have one be a little painful.. the rest fill fine. Holly ps. I'm 8 days post op

I have verizon and i turned my phone off the entire time i was there.. i think the best idea is to get a phone card they are fairly cheap.. Trish will hook you up just ask her... I didn't want to put my phone in airplane mode just in case.. i only used the free internet at the hospital and the hotel to update ppl... i didn't call..but i did let them all know i was okay... i'm excited for you mommy... you will love it.. and like they said the hard part is the first day then after that it's smooth sailing!!!! all that updating of folks was done on my laptop... you might setup a skype at home and then you can skype them so they can see you too Holly

you are correct that is his preop... it was for me and my bmi was 41......... some ppl just do more before hand to lose some extra pounds.. as was in my case :-)

Good luck gals I'm 6 days post op and feeling great I also made a video while down there if you want to check it out..try to bring some silky pjs it will help you move around in bed..my video is on my last post good luck and welcome to the other side it is awesome!

yes the hospital gowns are like the ones in the states but you would think they would have big ones..they kept putting me in Large.. and it just wasnt enough room that's why i put on my undies and my capris . if you bring pajamas.. make sure they are silky ones so you can move around easier in bed. .. we just got back from the beach with Trish she sure is a great person.. makes sure you get to do what you want and get out.. it was alot of fun dipped my toes in the ocean.. that was cold lol. I feel much better tonight than i did this morning..it's because i've been up and walking all around it was nice!! Hope you do well janneth and Krista.. i really liked the nurses sonia and patty they were extra good.. you will want sonia to pull out your drain she was so nice about it!! Tomorrow trish is bringing a girl to do a pedicure and then we leave at 1 to go catch our flight.. i'm so glad i had the extra day my swelling is going down.. been getting all the Water in good today.

Thanks everyone today i plan on walking alot.. my arm is still swollen from the iv.. and you do have to be very careful with your drinking for the first time.. i know people and read about how small a sip but wow you can totally feel when it's too much very small sips!! i suggest you wait to watch your video of your surgery until a good month afterwords when you are all healed up... i watched mine yesterday 2 days post op.. and it totally grossed me out and now i feel like i really have to baby my stomach you don't realize what a major surgery it was until you've seen that. Wish i were going home today but i have one more day at the lucerna then home tomorrow. DD thanks for the tip about printing out boarding tickets i saw those computers but didn't even think of doing that... :-) Holly
