  1. Hello fellow sleevers!!! My surgery is wednesday! My surgeon said she uses a Bougie size of 36 - 38! I am happy with that! I dont want to be too restricted and risk a stricture, but, I dont want it too big and fail to lose my goal!!! What size did your surgeons use and how have you progressed through your sleeve journey?
  2. Hi kelly! I am anemic now and my surgery is on wednesday! I was wondering if they let you take Iron pills immediately after surgery, or after you were diagnosed. or did they do somthing different? Thanks for your help!!!

  6. I had my final meeting with my surgeon! So far so good! I have lost 26 lbs so far! My husband took me out for a last hurrah dinner to the outback and I ate cheese fries and blooming onion! I found after medifast for the last few weeks, i definately cant eat as much as i used to, and, the fries didnt taste as good either! That is a good thing!!! LOL! Back to medifast tomorrow! I cant believe my surgery is in 9 days! I am excited and nervous at the same time! I wonder how I am going to do long term eating small portions! Like, I wonder how parties and holidays and get togethers are gonna be! It seems my whole social and family life revolves around food! Does anyone else have those fears? I also have a 20 month old little girl who wants me to hold her all the time! I cant get up and walk out of the room with out her running after me and crying to get picked up! I LOVE that my daughter and I have that closeness, but, I am scared post op cause I cant lift her for a few weeks and I dont want to hurt her feelings. I pray I have NO complications and I hope that I lose quick and steady! I love hearing success stories of 100 in 10 months! wow!
  7. I second that!!! LOL! My surgery is in 2 weeks and I am starting at about the same weight and any pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  9. Hi Fellow sleevers! I am scheduled for my sleeve on August 17th! I am so excited! Dr Ingram is doing my sleeve! Has anyone had it done by her? I know she said she only did like 4, so that is kinda a concern of mine! But, I am trusting that she knows what she is doing and that I will have a successful sleeve experience! Wish me luck!!!!
  10. I have my surgery the same day in NY! Good Luck!
  11. Hi everyone! I am getting really nervous! I am scared that I am gonna regret it! I am scared that I am gonna have complications! I am scared I am gonna miss food! I am scared because my surgeon only did like 4 sleeves! I had to get this off my chest! I have come so far in this proccess! I am proud of myself so far and I am excited about the surgery! I just pray everything goes smooth. I have a 20 month old little girl at home and I want to be a healthy mom, but, i am scared about the surgery! Does anyone else have/had these fears and anxiety! My family wanted me to get the band, but, that wasnt for me! I know I want the sleeve and after my anxiety, I know I will do awesome!!! I have a 2 questions! 1. how can you gain weight after the surgery if your portions are so small? I mean, eating regulary, but, smaller portions! does the amount of daily calories change after the surgery? 2. does anyone know anyone or themselves that has had the sleeve surgery for a couple of years? How is their bodies holding up without most of their stomaches? Any long term complications or annoyances? Thanks for letting me get this out there! on medifast for 6 weeks, lost 23 lbs!
  12. wow! sounds like your doctor is awesome! Who is he and from where? I am getting mine in august and its still new to the hospital, so, im a little nervous. They do tons of the other 2 surgeries, not, not as many sleeves! But, this is the one I want!
