  1. My doctor said gas was normal and to incorporate more fiber into my diet. I have been banded for about 6 months now and still have frequent problems with gas. Gas-x doesn't always help. Sometimes it will last for 2-3 days before I get any relief. Grrrr!
  2. I was banded in Oct 06 and have not had soda since. I was a Diet Coke ADDICT! I craved it! I thought it would be the hardest thing to give up, but it hasn't been hard at all. I haven't even had a craving for it. I now drink diet Lipton green tea with citrus. I didn't like it at first, but now I love it. I have trouble with bloating, so i don't EVEN want to drink soda. It's not worth the risk of being in pain. Good luck!
  3. Thank you for sharing! This is something I want to do when I have reached my goal. I watch every plastic surgery show on TV that I can so that I will know what to expect. I am really worried about scarring, so I look forward to seeing what you look like when you are healed. Again, thank you so much for sharing! What you see on TV isn't always what you can expect in real life. You look great! Congrats!
  4. I am glad I stumbled onto this site. I was banded 10/06 and I lost 10 lbs the first 3 weeks, but that is because I was on liquids the whole time. I have had 3 fills so far and I definitely have restriction, but I am gaining weight! I have been BPing a lot in the past few days, but after reading this site, I think I am just swollen and need to do liquids for the next day or two. A big problem I have is that sometimes I can eat certain foods with no problem, but the next time, I can't. I don't understand this. Also, after having food stuck, I am paranoid about it happening, so after every bite, I drink a little water to help it go through. I know this is breaking the "no drinking with meals" rule, but it is so painful when stuck. Also, I think my band is tighter in the evenings than in the morning. Does anyone else have this problem?
  5. I am new to this forum and not familiar with some of the acronyms you are using. What is PBing? Is it different from throwing up? Has anyone had problems with bloating and gas?
