  1. We had fun trying on all the cloths right there in my living room. It was like christmas in November! I'll call my Grandme tomorrow and see if she want some of these Blouses you gave Betty.
  2. Betty I promised you these pics and here they are. Kathy LOVED the cloths I brought back to her. That was very generous of you to give all those NEW clothes away to people you don't know. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
  3. this is my friend Kathy that could'nt come with me this weekend. She has talked about the band and of course I think it would be a good thing if she got it done. Hopefully I can show her that this band is'nt such a bad thing after all.
  4. what a beautiful lady you are Paula. Inside and out! So glad you were able to come and join in on the fun after all. I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you even more!
  5. These ladies had great stories of triumph to tell. The will to survive and overcome is a powerful thing. One thing we all had in common was the will to survive and triumph over tragedy.
  6. We have to give credit where credit is due. Ginny was responsible for the karyoke and story time. It was all her idea! I don't know what we had done if she had'nt come with all her neat ideas.
  7. I really enjoyed listening to all y'all had to share about yourselves. I loved how we opened up and told our "story" sitting around the dining table Sat. night after Karyoke.
  8. out on the balcony
  9. Leatha, I can't fess up to taking those thongs when I did'nt take them. Remember what I was saying to cause those ladies to be smiling like they are in that picture? Something about what my husband would do with those thongs if I wore them! I'de hate to ruin a perfect thong ya know....I just hope that the woman who took them home makes them last longer than they would have with me.lol Where do I start with these pics? I'll start with Betty...this is a good pic of you girl. Don't let this innocent looking face fool you, remember this is a Harley Motor Cycle riding Mama!
  10. DARCY!! You are cute! And that hat, WOW! Ok You need that pic as your avatar!
  11. I'm not telling, she has to speak up herself!
  12. Yes Marie, you are a cutie! I still can't understand why your camera shy, your beautiful insida and out!
  13. Betty that first pic is wrong! And that pic with me and the bra! Thats wrong too!
  14. I see the head lines now: Leathal Woman, not so leathal after all! Leatha, yes deary you are a sweet heart and we love you! You look like a new person, I can't wail till I get my pics developed and am able to share how you look now.I hope I got some good ones.

You are looking good Nancy. I did'nt know you from before your surgery but I know you now and you looking good girl! TTFN till next time...
  16. I hope all of the others made it home safely, as for me I'm home safe and sound fond memories rolling over in my head but in shell shock. My house and family somehow survived with the central nerve system gone for one night. Thank God it was only one night cause my house sustained a considerable amout of damage! No the dishes were not washed, no the trash was not taken out, no the three little piggies were not picked up after BUT the kids were fed (Cereal and milk), 2 of them got a bath, and all in one piece. So, what can I say, the fort was held down! On the ride home I was'nt thinking of the condition of things at the home front as I was still rehashing all the fun and love I experienced with a bunch of great women I just spent the night with that I can call friends now. TY all for the wonderful time we had togather. High quality time getting to know each other on a personnal level and being able to express yourself W/O worry. It's hard to pull the right words out right now, maybe I'll have more to say when I post pics tomorrow.
  17. Thanks for the support Pam, it's nice to have people understand me, I've had to quit being around that particulaf "friend". O well, I'll make new friends, life goes on. I would have never had the guts befire surgery to go ahead and sever a relationship. I'm changing slowly and it's difficult to adjust to the "new me". If I find it difficult I can't imagine what my hubby and friends are thinking!
  18. Wow Babs! I'de be doing the same thing you did! I'm sooo happy for you girl! This is great! It gives me the hope that I'll get there one day soon! I went shopping at Cathrines yesterday because they're having a sale (as always) and bought smaller cloths than the last time I shopped there! Sur it was a 26 but HEY, I'm luvin it! The sales ladt told me that I would'nt be shopping there any more real soon and I told her no, the WLS I had done causes you to lose weight slowly, she just kinda looked at me like I did'nt know what I was talking about. I still have about 4-6 more inches to lose off my hips before I drop Cathrines (I think they thier sizes start at 1x) Anyway, I'll be sad to have to find new sales women to help me pick out the perfect outfit but I'll love it! Finding the perfect outfit won't be that hard after I lose some weight.
  19. No problem with that amount here. Just looking forward to meeting all of you ladies this weekend even if I do have to drive myself.
  20. Luvin all these custom avatars ladies! You look gorgeous daalings!
  21. Yes, nice to meet you, glad you stopped lurking and joined the fun and support of this group.
  22. Ladies I apologize for any inconvienience this may be but my friend Kathy will not be coming this weekend. That leaves us with one opening. Is there one more lady out there in bandland that would like to get togather with us other lapbanders this weekend in Galveston?
  23. Ok well I feared this would happen but my friend Kathys' hubby will not be in town so that means shes not able to be with us in Galveston. Bummer, shes such a joy to be around too. I wish you ladies could have met her. I
