Michigan?....Hmmm....might be too far for this Southern Girl. Maybe if I had someone to travel with I would. Yall make sure to post lots of pics like they did for the Vegas Bash, that was too fun!
  2. Wowie you look great Lisa nd your hubbys not bad looking either! Yall make a really cut couple, I'm happy for you, you deserve to be happy!
  3. Big, healthy, beautiful family...(check) Husband that loves me...(check) Good friends to call on...(check) Beautiful house to dwell in...(check) Reliable transportation...(check) Hmmm....transportation may be reliable but not sporty! Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas is a Ford Sports Trac! Thank You for the band as a birthday gift, I love it! Now I need the wheels to match the new Me!
  4. Awwww Betty, your hubby sounds like a real sweet guy. I love to hear stories of spouces being proud and bragging on each other. Keep up the good work on your exercising. Your doing great!
  5. AWwww Leatha! Great pics. TY for sharing them with us. You did a great job with the borders. Our Thanks Giving was great but uneventful. No PBs Thanks Giving Day so that alone makes it a good day. We ended up having my bro-in-law over this turkey day. He's single now Leatha! And it's not the one I talked to you about before. This one is a true sweet heart. I wish you could meet him. If I was'nt already married and if he was'nt in his 50's I'de marry this cute fellow in a heart beat. Well, TTFN ladies....gotta go to church
  6. Carmen, Your post really spoke to me. TY for sharing with us. I'm already going through some of the things you mentioned in your post and I'm only 4 montha into my journey! Life is fun and exciting now and look forward to what the future holds! I've lost a couple of friends already but I guess they were never true friends to begin with. I too am learning how to stand up for myself in a room of people. I have a voice! I feel like I'm growing flight feathers and will soon be flying in no time! And pleasing people is no longer my utmost priority because I deserve to be treated with respect too! You say you'de do it again in a heart beat? Well, I feel the same way. This is one of the best things I've done for myself. This was the best thing I could have done for myself. I was shopping for a new automobile the other day and found out that this surgery cost less than 1/2 of a new vehicle! I felt like I got a tremendous bargain! A new lease on life is more like it!
  7. Are you on a schedule with your fills? If your at a plateau for more than a few weeks call your Doc. and ask for a fill. You'll have restiction sooner or later. I think patience is one of the hardest things for us on this journey. We have to remember how long it took for us to get this Big!
  8. OMmm Greg said a cuss word! Where's Darcy when I need her? Darcy...go get Mom Quick! Mom you need to come woop these boys they're getting out of hand here!

What an awesome story to tell years down the road for this family!
  10. Yes He would Lauri! You pegged him good! He obviosly loves hanging around all of us girls. Him and Ryan are like two cocks in a hen house. Cockadoodledoo!
  11. For some reason I've done the same thing with the air and pain after my second fill. It did pass for me. The air hung around for a while and was a pain to deal with. I still burp at the most inconvienient times.
  12. Yes Marie, We want pics! We want pics! We want pics!
  13. Yep three week plateau is a good thing to wait for. But when you do plateau for that long it's easy to go on "cruise control". You get to a point to where you have to Just Do It! I know I did. I did'nt want to be more restricted at first. I had to make myself Just Do It!
  14. That is neat! TY for letting us in on this! You'll be a computer freak before you know it!
  15. Teresa that is too funny! I'll have to remember this story years down the road when i'm still cooking pupkin pie instead of bithday cake for my son. I'll make sure to ask each year instead of assuming thats what he wants. That pumpkin pie lasted a day and a half! I think my husband got a piece of it everytime he waliked through the kitchen. My poor son only got 2 pieces of his own Pumpkin Pie! Oh well, Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Pumpkin Pie is on the menu as well as ButterMilk pie. Yummmm
  16. Cindy I loved reading this post! What an encouragement to me! I read everything here too and am in awe of how this little corner on the net has become a part of my life. All my friends and family joke about you guys. I would'nt trade you guys for anything. We definately want to see your before and after pics!
  17. I guess I'll join. You twisted my arm Greg calling out my name like that. I was trying to find a way out of this but I know I need to do this so count me in!
  18. I love to cook new recipes! This holiday season will be my first as a bandster. I'm looking forward to it but I need some ideas for the menu. I don't do well with breads like stuffing. Deserts are great but I need to eat those few and far between. Who knows of some band friendly recipes that we can cook this Thanksgiving and Christmas? The pumpkin Pie I cooked today is calling my name. My 7 year old son loves Pumpkin pie and it was his birthday a couple of days ago. He requested that I cook him a pie instead of a cake for his birthday. I love it!
  19. Alex, your doing so good. Who cares if the scale has'nt moved you're moving down in sizes! I was going to tell you that most jewelry stores allow you to "trade up" when you buy stones from them. So, when my wedding ring starts to fall of I'm trading mine in for a new one! I'm on my second one right now and still love the ring style. LOL Some of my friends think I'm crazy for trading in my wedding ring like a used car but I do love change! And they're always coming out with new designs to fall in love with. My point in bringing that up is this, if your still loosing weight why not buy a ring from a reputable dealer that has the trade in policy and gift yourself with a new ring as a reward when the old one falls off of you? Just a thought!

My last fill was difficult for me to adjust to. I felt major restriction at first and was concerned that I might need to go in for an unfill. I even had a splitting headache for a couple of days. Then the swelling went down and I now eat an average of 1/2 cup per meal. I hope eating gets more comfortable for you but remember that if eating is too easy we'll just revert to our old eating habits.
  21. Ok Ryan fess up...NTCBST...plz explain.

Have fun Babs! We'll miss you. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your pumpkin pie while it's in season. I'm not planning on any holiday extravaganzas with food or family. Hey, there's a first time for everything! This will be my first Holiday season with my new friend the band and am looking forward to it. Even though I did buy the ingredients for a pumpkin pie that I will cook today for my son. It's his birthday and he'd rather have pie than cake! That strikes me as odd but if thats what he want thats what the cook will fix. Happy Holidays! TTFN
  23. Yo Ginny! Were looking for you kid! Waas up?
  24. This too shall pass ladies just keep telling yourself that because it does pass. I'm only 4 months out (almost) and I've hit little mini plateaus but then it passed and my average is still 10lbs. a months! But I'll go a whole week w/o the scale moving. It even goes up at times which freaks me out! Then I'll go get dressed and have to put yet another article of clothing in the"Too big pile" and feel tons lighter!
