  1. July is just a few short days away! We are almost there! I am soooo excited. I am even excited about starting my pre-op diet cause it just means I am that much closer, I am sooooo over being fat!
  2. Ummm...... I am shocked that you have to do that. I had a prep for o colonoscopy once and I would NOT work. You will not be feeling your best cause your stomach will be cramping somerthing awful! I think I am glad I don't have your surgeon
  3. Goodness!! I will send energy your way. I have NO idea why insurance wants to make it sooooo hard for people to be healthy.
  4. Looks like there are lots of us changing our lives in July! I am getting soooo excited and soooo nervous!!
  5. I am only telling a very few close friends and my hubby. I just don't want constant comments from the peanut gallery. Plus, it will still be hard work to loose the weight. I will not be lying since I will be changing my diet
  6. Thanks! I picked out my food and I am kinda shocked at the variety I had to choose from. I hope that helps. It's a Medifast diet that is mostly liquid but I can have one bar a day. I start the diet on the 28th. Now that I feel like I have had my food funeral, I am gonna focus on eating as healthy as I can and exercising as much as I can too!
  7. I am leaving to sign my consent form, take my post-op nutrution calss, and pick up my pre-op diet in about an hour. I am starting to get nervous now. It all of the sudden seems real!! Just wanted to get that off my chest! Have a great day!
  8. You look fabulous!!! Congrats on all your hard work!
  9. Thanks for the replies!
  10. My son will be 1 on 7/22. That is just ten days after my sleeve. My doc said that I have to wait 2 weeks and then I can lift him without any problem. 6 weeks sound like a long time to me. I have had my gallbladder out laproscopically too and that was also a two week return to work and I was a pramedic/firefighter!
  11. Oh my goodness Valentina!! I am soooo sorry that you had that experience. I am not telling my extended family about the surgery at all. If they as when they visit a week later, I am telling them I had a hernia repair. They are the most unsupportive judgemental people I know
  12. I don't know if I have one but it wouldn't suprise me! That is what I will tell my in-laws I had surgery for anyways
  13. Yikes! I guess my will power is not quite as good as the rest of you! Thankfully dinner tomorrow will be light. I am CHOOSING to do an extra two weeks of the pre-op diet cause my doc only requires 1 week.I wanted extra time to change my lifestyle beforehand. I think teh reality is hitting me and it's scary to confront my issues with food. My husband and friends are super supportive so I am lucky that way
  14. I must have missed the firecrackers! Hmm.... I like them both too. Grrr... decisions. What's teh concensus?
  15. Ok, I know that I WILL eventually be able to eat semi-normally. That hasn't stopped my food funeral this week though. I start the pre-op diet on Monday and I have been going kinda nuts this week. I am totally ashamed of myself. I have eaten a whole jar of Nutella since Sunday and my friends are taking my out to The Melting Pot for a "last meal" tomorrow. Is this normal?? Ugh......
  16. Yay! Congrats!! I will be sleeved the day after!
  17. Hi Terry! I haven't had my surgery yet but I love this site! There is soooo much info and support here! Good Luck, Leslie
  18. Congrats! I can't wait to join you on the loser's bench!!
  19. I think I will be stalking those who are getting sleeved before me!! I am starting to get alittle anxious. Hopefully it will be comforting, or at least informative, to follow the early July sleevers!
  20. I think Sparklers is great!
  21. I am soooo glad you went through with the surgery!! I hope you recover quickly!!
  22. I hope your insurace doesn't let you down! I think I would be a basketcase!
