  1. Do you have contact information for Ray, Eva, and Celestine? I wish I would have thought to get it.
  2. Woohoo! Congrats everyone. I am so glad to see us all thriving in our new lives. I feel great. So far no stall and today marks 5 weeks out. I am down another 3.8 lbs this week for a total of 32.2.... Yay!!!
  3. You look absolutely gorgeous. SOOO jealous of those gams.
  4. I had my surgery on Friday and went back to work on the following Thursday. I wasn't scheduled to go back until the Monday after that but I felt well enough. I work in a desk job that I do have to move around at (dropping off books, picking up drawing packages, etc.). I only stayed 6 hrs that first day and then Friday I stayed the full 8 hours. It's really impossible to predict how you will feel post op, so just take it day by day and try to rest as much as you can, while you can.
  5. Congrats on your success this far and for your continued success.. Let's just keep in mind that everyone's hospital experience will be different. You won't always have a catheter and you won't always have liberal access to pain drugs like that. Just one more thing that pre-op folks should know. That being said, I had almost NO pain post op besides tender incisions and a really tender stomach for the first 36 hours which I can more likely attribute to vomiting brought on by general anesthesia.. That's something I wish I'd known about pre-op.... your reaction to general anesthesia can vary widely. For me it was seriously unpleasant.
  6. Good luck and God bless to all the new sleevers having their surgeries today NewMe86, Shalon, DallasMomofTwins, Summertymer, and lovey_vsg_nyc!!!!!!!
  7. How are we doing guys and gals? I feel great!
  8. Finally updated! In the midst of moving and internet issues.. Really hard to update from phone.
  9. 10 days out and YES! I feel great and lost almost 10 lbs in the first 6-7 days.
  10. SN: GemInTheRough SW: 294 (at surgery, haven't weighed in yet) CW: 294 Goal!! : 254 Lbs to goal: 40
  11. Yes! It totally bothers me. I need to go get steri-strips myself. I feel pretty normal except for the painful burps when drinking too fast too.
  12. Thank you indeed. If it didn't hurt to bend/kneel over, I might have kissed the ground at Bush IAH. Miss you lady.
  13. I can only tell you that I didn't. LOL. I was a witness to almost the whole time, but even I am on the edge of my seat. Me not going to the recovery house the first night was probably a good thing for me and the state I was in that day.
  14. As I write this me and Gardendiva3 are tucked away in the cozy San Diego Hampton Downtown. I know wannasleeve is somewhere nearby as well. I should still be sleeping, but I think it's safe to say that's not happening. I imagine Gardendiva's still asleep. Pray for us!
  15. Updated with Ally and N2B8R!! Welcome to September!!

  20. Welcome AnnaChelle. The last few weeks of the countdown really fly! I'll have a pretty detailed account of my surgery with Dr. Almanza next week. So. Freaking. Excited.
  21. I think it's safe to say that we're officially the spitfires?! Leave voting open one more day and someone should stylize the name for us. September is only 2 days away!
  22. I'm NOT ready, but I will be. Only 5 days left for you now and I'm certain you'll make your Labor Day goal. You'll be sleeved by then. Hee hee..
  23. Where something scandalous! LOL, like from NY&co.. j/k. I love their clothes, but if I tried to fit into something now I know I'd surely be causing a scene. I'm glad you are feeling better.
  24. I think that this is not a pre-op diet problem at all, but something you really need to sit down and talk about with your husband.. This is more of a support issue. If you don't talk about it (and not little quips and arguments here and there) don't think it will go away. I will add you to my prayers. Chin up.
  25. Thank you! I searched "bring" instead of "need."
