Hi all I have read/lurked on these boards since Jan. I was sleeved in KC 3/9/11 by Dr. Hoehn. I have/had PCOS. My starting weight was 264. I lost 14lbs during my 2 week pre-op diet. So my starting weight day if surgery 250. Today I am 209. I am closing in on onederland. I am down from 14 meds a day to 2. My cholesterol week of surgery was 232 LDL 155 Triglycerides 145 As of 4/28 my Cholesterol was 180 LDL 108 Trigyclerides 111 and HDL went up 5 points. All my labs looked good. I am anxiously awaiting 195 for 3 days. Then I will count myself in onerland! (allotting for scale differences.) Anyway I don't have really full body shots but you can tell in my face obviously. The middle pic is from today the other 2 were from the beginnng of feb.I went from a tight 22 to a comfortable to loose 18. You are correct he did have a week where I got irritated and when I let Linda the nurse know I got a call asap. The best luck I have is talking to Becky and relling her and she usually can get them on the phone. Good Luck!

Hey there everyone..... First off OP I am so sorry you are having such a difficult time and getting the run around. I have BCBSKC and my policy excludes bariatric surgery period. The Delf Pay cost is 11999. $7750 Goes to Heartland and the rest to Dr. Hoehn's Office. I do not have that kind of money and so I applied for a Medcal loan via their site. I basically took a car loan out n myself for 5 years. I pay $305 a month and paid $695 in closing costs. It was pretty easy. It is a simple interest loan with no prepayment penalties. It is the only way I could do it. (even this is stretching us a ton) I have a friend doing nutri system and it is $300 a month for food. I went to the seminar at smmc for KC Bariatrcs in Jan. I had my first consult 2/16/11 and I was sleeved 3/9/11 by Dr. Hoehn at Hearland. I had nothing but good experiences. Dr. Hoehn was great as was Heartland. Call and press zero. You will talk to Becky the receptionist who is really nice ask her to speak to Jan and tell her you have had a hard time connecting and if you can't get through to her call and talk to Wayne the Office Manager. Anyway I would love a meet up!

I have been on Clear liquids since 11am it took me and hout to eat a sugar free Popsicle. Yup Dr. Hoehn did my surgery did he do yours as well?

I have been readng these boards for a few months now. I was sleeved yesterday In Kansas City. All went well little gas pain in chest. Just did my bariam swallow test. Waitning for the ok to sip Water. I am 35 Stay at home mom and run a home daycare. 5ft 7in Pre 2 week liquid I weighed 264 Day of Surgery 251.08 I have PCOS, Insulin resistance, high cholesteral and a fatty liver. Looking forward ro a healthier me. Thanks to all the posters here. Jess
