  1. My post op instructions were to wait 3 weeks. I probably waited 4-5 and then got into my own pool.
  2. I had my surgery in December. At the time I thought I wanted to lose 40lbs, but since losing 37 I know I want at least 10 more. I keep my meals to 1/4 cup and thats plenty. I feel so good eating healthy foods like lean protien and veggies. I don't consider them "diet" foods at all. I actually visulize a meal as fuel for my body and nourishment for my complexton. On the other hand I visulize foods like pizza and hamburgers as greasy viscous fat that is going to set up like glue around my band and give me heartburn. It's just my own mindset that I find very helpful and healthful. No judgements on anyone else intended.
  3. Ask yourself why you would even WANT pizza? You didn't go through surgery to eat crap like that. Since I am going to eat only 2 ounces I want it to be the best for me. With 15 year old twins, pizza is part of my life. If they order in I use the chance to steam a nice Alasken crab leg for myself. At the parlor I order a fried chicken breast and remove all the skin and have it with a small salad. Once you get your mind around it....you would not want to pass up some delicious and healthful lean protein for carbs and fat.
  4. I also used the gas x chewables but I honestly have to say the most helpful was getting in and out of my husbands little sports car. Something about that motion really worked if you know what I mean.
  5. I was on liquid hydrocodone post op and afraid of constipation. I squeezed the liquid out from a Colace and mixed it with a little slim fast. Never had a problem. I think it helped with the gas too.
  6. These helped me. Cold Avacado Soup, In a blender puree 2-3 ripe avacados, about 1/4 c prepared mashed potatos, juice of 1 lime, 1/2 tsp cumin and 2-3 cups organic chicken broth. Tomato Basil Soup, heat 2 cups organic chicken broth, 2 cups organic tomato juice, and some finely chopped basil. (I use the pre chopped in a tupe from the produce dept). When heated stir in 1/2 c half and half and 1 T butter, add a little black pepper to taste.
