  1. Going home in an hour kinda nervous, still afraid of complications showing up. I have like no desire at all to eat or drink, getting 64 oz is really tough. Definitely think this sleeve is gonna keep me in losers land, if my appetite stays like this.
  2. I believe in 2014 all carriers will not be allowed to turn people down. I think having everyone covered and taking responsibility for health like they do car insurance is a good idea because people without coverage usually cost 400% or more for non life threatening things and they can't pay it, so it adds to increasing costs for everyone.
  3. Mine was 15 copay. I have the high risk pool insurance in ohio they dont cover the surgery, but a lot of the tests and stuff they do. Every state has a high risk pool insurance thorough the new healthcare plan. Basically it is a guaranteed coverage for people with pre existing conditions, or who can't get insured now. Before getting it we had to go to er and couldn't pay our bill need to use tax payer dollars. Now.we can visit our pcp, urgent care, or specialists, and we only pay 160 per month per person. My wife has already hit her max out of pocket, she has a lot more medical issues.
  4. Thanks for the replies.. I haven't really tested my sleeve for fear of hurting myself or making myself sick. Having sf hot cocoa and cream of wheat for Breakfast. Taking 1 sip, and one bite every 5-10 minutes seems good right now. Haven't felt any pressure yet or anything.
  5. Lol johnathan wait til you get here you will cherish each fart. Nurse said this probably only place where I will ever get 'brownie' points for my farts. Lol. Just hopefully brownie points not brown sheets lol.
  6. Check hospitals that do bariatric surgery, mine has unjury in gift shop cheaper than buying online, or you can buy it online just google unjury.
  7. Wondering how often I should.eat another bite, would a spoon every 5-10 minutes be too much? Finding it really hard to get my fluids in. I'm 2 days post op.
  8. At the hospital now and am on full liquids, they sent up a really good cream of potato soup. They liquified it for me and tasted just like mashed potatoes and gravy. Cream of chicken and rice soup liquified taste just like chicken dumplings. Mmm.
  9. With all this gas floating in my abdomen you have no idea how good some flatulence feels lol. Wonder if I couldve made soda with it since it's mostly co2 lol. Anyone else enjoy farting post op?
  10. Well since being sleeved monday morning I've lost about 20 pounds, I think it was from the saline solution iv plus having catheter, lost a lot of water weight. But have been walking some and only eating 100 or 200 calories a day. Plus how ever much half a stomach weighs lol. I was 645 monday, now scale says 619.
  11. Still at hospital, will be home tomorrow though.
  12. Doing great incision sites still hurt a lot but mostly only when I turn to get in or out of bed. Gas pain is a little less.
  13. Not really I have some left chest pressure and the gas hurts quote a bit and my incision sites are sore like doing 5000 ab crunches. I've only tried really small sips though I'm so thirsty I could chug a gallon if I had the capacity. How many laps do they have you walking? I did 2 last night, and 6 today. They want me at 10 though think I will be able yo do 10 tomorrow.
  14. Good luck guys, you can do it. Just listen to everything the doctors and nurses tell you to do and you will be fine.
  15. Sorry you feel so bad I'm on day 2 postop while I have a lot of pain I haven't been sick yet, though the barium almost made me blow chunks... Anyhow hope you feel better.lets rock this sleeve.
