My Surgery Is Thursday!

Hey everybody!! I am new to the site and and I just wanted to introduce myself. I am southerndiva123 and my VSG surgery is scheduled for Thursday July 5th. Yikes!! I have struggled with my weight all my life but once I hit 300 I knew it was time to make some changes. I am feeling so many emotions right now. I was approved for lap band 2 years ago but I backed out at the last minute bc I wasn't comfortable with the surgeon. I found a great new surgeon so here I go. Any and all advice is welcome. Btw this liquid diet sucks. Hope everyone has a great Sunday!!

Doing great incision sites still hurt a lot but mostly only when I turn to get in or out of bed. Gas pain is a little less.

This stage of the diet sucks! But the sleeve is a better choice for me than the lap band because it's permanent with less complications. You will do great so CONGRATS on your upcoming surgery date. Make sure you get up an walk in the hospital and sip, sip, sip your water. :)

Welcome and good luck with your surgery Thursday. I'm on the pre-op diet, too, and I agree...it sucks!

Day 4 pre op and it is horrible. I hope surgery is nothing like this. I could not even drink my protein shake last night!!!

Thanks everyone!! Pre op in the morning so off to bed I go

Good luck guys, you can do it. Just listen to everything the doctors and nurses tell you to do and you will be fine.

How are you feeling Patrick?
