    Trying not to lose

OMG, I'm having this same issue. I've found myself reverting to bad habits. I feel as though look horrible. My face has thinned out so much. I don't like it. I would be interested to see what others are doing.
  2. Looks like you're off to a good start!
  3. My DH is finally coming around to the idea of me traveling abroad for plastics. I want to be able to present different choices of plastic surgeon to him. Therefore, I was hoping we could put together a master list if you will of "trusted" "previously used by the community" drs. It's so difficult going from thread to thread looking for a hint of a dr's name. I'm sure this will be so helpful for those looking for a dr. Anybody agree?
  4. You are so pretty. Congrats on your progress.

    Plastics referral for Atlanta

How did your surgery go? Do you mind telling me the cost of the TT and lipo? I went to their website but they took the pictures down and Duluth is a far ride for me especially if I'm not too impressed with pictures. You can pm me if you want to. Thanks
  6. This is what i ate for dinner last week. I had turkey wings cooked in an electric pressure cooker but would be just as good cooked in a Dutch oven or pot on the stove with no side ( turkey was so big so I couldn't fit any side). I had baked tilapia with salad. Lets see, I had chicken tenderloins sautéed in EV Coconut Oil with green Beans and sweet potato. I had a chili dog. I had Protein shake and watermelon. My Breakfast is usually a Protein Shake and i usually have fruit and leftover meat/protein from the night before for lunch.I snack on sunflower seeds, pork skins, carbmaster yogurt, fruit. If I have to have chips or junk, I get a single serving and have it then and there. I don't get a large size nor do I bring it home. I satisfy my craving and leave it at that. I try not to make too big of a deal out of food and remember that I eat to live and not live to eat. I find that this helps me because I love to cook and if I'm going to cook it, I'm going to eat it and that's what got me here in the first place.

What is 5 day pouch test

I started it last Wednesday. I've gotten comfortable eating carbs/junk and went up to 171. I could see the fat and my clothes fit different and I know I was gaining and not just fluxuating up and down. I got this info directly from their site. Have you lost control of your weight loss surgery tool? Today learn and live the plan that is sweeping the surgical weight loss community. If you are asking: Does my pouch still work? Have I broken my pouch? Am I doomed to be a failure at this too? Can I lose the weight I've regained? Is the honeymoon with pouch over? If you are asking these questions then the 5 Day Pouch Test is for you. In 5 Days you can rediscover your pouch, get back on track and lose weight with your weight loss surgery tool. You have not failed! You can learn to use the tool again! http://5daypouchtest.com

    Final cost: $54,855.30

I was self pay in SC for $8000 and this included all labs, test, surgery, anesthesia...EVERYTHING....also any issues arising up to 90 days after surgery. One must ask a lot of questions of the Drs. office regarding what is included and what is not. Like the other poster stated, the prices are hiked up to see just how much they can get.
  10. You should do your own research of course but it will take a full day and a half or longer for food you consume to go from "in" to "out". In other words, the poop you poop today is food you ate possibly yesterday or even the day before. Everyone is different though. This is an average.

Kick Ass April - Fitness Challenge! Who's In?

Just what I need. I'm in!
  12. I was tested for the following tests. I was self pay and I traveled out of state for my surgery so my surgeon gave me a list to take to my PCP. I am a female and I don't know if some of them are gender specific but anyways they are as follows: WBC CBC Comprehensive Metabolic Panel Lipid Panel Ferritin Folate Iron and Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC) Vitamins : A, B12, D-25 Hydroxy, E, K Hemoglobin A1C Magnesium, Serum Phosphorus Thyroid Stmulating Hormone T4 Total T3 My test came back deficient in several instances and I was happy that they were all tested. I had severe nausea in the beginning for quite a while (months) and it was some time before I could eat anything.
  13. I received my shipment today. They sent me (4) 12 packs of 14 oz bottles. I thought it was the 11oz cartons that I ordered and it was 4 packs so I'm definately not complaining.
  14. I was nauseous for almost two months. It was mainly in the mornings and medication didn't help that much. I was given zofran and another medicine (can't think of the name of it now) but it made me soooooo sleepy that I rarely took it. I had to get an extension on my disability because of it. It gradually went away.
  15. I'm so sorry this happened to you. Just hang in there.

    Most used kitchen appliance

I could not be without my steamer. I often have food leftover or will cook enough for another day and the steamer keeps my food, especially meats, from being dried out when I reheat it. I would recommend one to anyone. I use it whenever I warm something in the microwave. This one is small/mini but it's just big enough for me. I have a larger one as well but I always reach for this one because of the size. http://www.amazon.com/Progressive-International-Microwavable-Mini-Steamer/dp/B0000CFPT2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1361823262&sr=8-2&keywords=mini+steamer

    Lipo instead of tummy tuck?

Tummy tuck removes the loose skin. Lipo removes fat.

    feeling like a failure

You are definitely not alone. I stalled October 2012 and it finally broke this month. I was 167 for FOUR months...yes 4 months. I weighed in at 163 this morning. During that time my body changed it's shape. I was in a fitted 12 pants then and now I can fit some 8's depending on how they're made. Like it was said before, don't compare yourself to anyone. We will all have different journeys.
