  1. Wow, I had just said to the hubby that I would eat anything right now, been on the liquid pre-op for 10 day, but boy have I changed my mind LOL. Thanks, I will think of this post when I think I'm hungry. ICKY
  2. Are you on the liquid only pre-op, or weight loss only? Sorry,I really forgot my manners LOL Hi and Welcome !!
  3. Hi LowCho, and welcome! I have Type II also and was told that most Type II diabetes is completely corrected. In fact they are planning on cutting my med. down by 1/2 when I leave the hospital. To be honest just being on the liquid pre-op diet has lowered my blood sugar a bunch.
  4. LOLOL, I went through the same thing...here drink this thick stuff and now the fizzy stuff, but don't burp, that's a joke. Now lay on this table that's 3 feet wide and do 2 barrel rolls, I got half way around, hit my head on the machine, and told her "fat girls don't do barrel rolls!! LOL Anyway I signed the paper work yesterday and will have surgery on Wednesday... holy crap!
  5. Hi Fleur de lis I'm just wondering where you are going in Jacksonville, I am having my surgery here in Orlando at ORMC.
  6. Hi Tracey, So glad to see another Orlando person, not many of us that I have seen. Where are you having your surgery and who is your Dr. I am having surgery 9-8, I didn't plan on Labor Day either, Liquids on the grill??
  7. OK, I'll admit that I almost tackled my daughter to get at the chips she was eating.... You are so right, this liquid diet is making me stupid LOL I can't think right, but the good thing is, this is day 6, 7 more to go and WE CAN DO THIS!!
  8. I'm one day before you 9-8 so I know how you are feeling. Excited, yes yes yes, but are you having those GIANT butterflies??? Are you on a pre-op diet? Let's do this together lol, are you using a US dr?
  9. I had my thyroid removed about 4 years ago and I currently take 225 mcg of meds daily. I can't tell you right now how the surgery will affect this yet, having surgery next week, but I'm guessing that the med dose could go down with the weight loss, I'll let you know. None of the doctors I have seen including my PC dr or surgeon have said anything.
  10. Have a great trip, relax, sending happy, healing thoughts with you. So glad that your mom is by your side
  11. Thank you for the warm welcome, I'm going to need the hand holding, LOL. I have a great support system with family and a good friend but you, my new family, really understand. Thanks for being here xoxo
  12. I have been reading posts here for a couple of months, and now I would like to be part of "the family" I just started my pre-op diet, my surgery will be done on September 8th!!! It's funny I just realized that is less than 2 weeks OMG!! I can't wait, but now have the jitters when I really think about it. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions and concerns for everyone, but for now just wanted to say "Hi" and thanks for being here.
