Congrats on your success! 100 lbs is so huge, I'm halfway there, and people like you inspire me!
-
I want a seat on this train too! 25 lbs to go, but for the first time in my adult life I know I can do it! I had a scale victory today, I've lost 50 pounds! Woop woop, 50 pounds gone forever!

Woop woop....weighed this morning, 50 lbs down! Gone forever! I am so happy with my sleeve

What do you all say when people ask you what your doing to loose weight? I dont want to lie but its not public info.
I just say "portion control and exercise" cuz it's true! =)
-
I only took 6 days off work, but I kind of regretted that- it would have been nice to have a few more days of being home in my pj's =)

I am with you guys... sometimes you forget that you have had this surgery. You really can't just munch on anything while watching TV anymore. haha. I pay close attention and when my body tells me I am full I listen and quit eating. I have also been eating about half of what I have then putting it down and waiting 5 minutes before eating the rest. This keeps me from feeling over full and any pain. Also the food scale. I weigh my Protein. It is essential for me. I still have giant portion EYES.
I still have giant portion eyes too! Brings whole new meaning to your eyes being bigger than your stomach LOL

There will be a next time Just won't be for a while LOL- I had my sleeve on 9/7 and can eat just about anything now, just only a few bites- I love it! Congrats, and wish you well!

So so happy for you! Dr Davidson did my sleeve too, it will be 4 weeks ago this coming Tuesday. His staff is awesome, and the Nurse practitioner there Sandy is really great and gives you her personal cell # which she answers anytime except between midnight and 5 am- and she encourages you to call with any question or problem.
On top of that, we live literally 30 minutes from each other! After your surgery is done and you can eat again we can go to lunch and split a kids meal LOL.
Congrats!

My doctor actually encourages me to weight daily- he said that research shows that people who weigh daily are more successful with losing weight, then maintaining that weight loss than people who dont weigh daily- he thinks it makes us more accountable.

These are wise words! I went back to work only 6 days after surgery, and it was way too soon! I'm 2 and a half weeks out now, and starting to feel more normal, but if you can stay home and rest you absolutely should!
-
So inspiring! This also brought tears to my eyes, as I could feel the joy and triumph in your words. Congrats!

Congrats! Woop woop....hope to be doing the happy dance with you someday :w00t:

I had my surgery on a Tuesday, and went back to work the next Monday- it wasn't easy, but I made it through....I basically sit a computer all day though, so if you do something more strenuous, I would definitely take maybe 10 days at least. I am 12 days out right now, and feeling pretty good. Good luck on your surgery!

I made this recipe tonight....sooooo yummy!

Hi Julie- so glad to hear you are feeling better! I am a little over a week out and am just now starting to feel pretty good too...I think we will live LOL...let the weight loss begin!
-
Hope you are doing well! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Congrats on your decision! I think I would at least try to get your insurance to pay for it, the worst that could happen is that you would then have to go private pay if it fell through- my insurance specifically excluded any type of bariatric surgery, so I had to pay out of pocket. I am 6 days out now, and starting to feel better and so happy I went ahead with it! Good luck with whichever way you decide to go!

I agree, file a lawsuit or compaint if that brings her closure but "put on your big girl panies and deal with it" because it is what it is. Live life and enjoy your family. This is just my opinion. Haing said that-Good Luck and I hope you find inner peace.Well said! Except for hopefully now she (and we all ) can wear "little girl panties":001_tt2:

My fav is apple cinnamon, also by Celestial seasonings. I have had the mint too, and it is really soothing and yummy as well- these are available year round at my Walmart, right next to the Lipton

Thanks guys for the advice, it seems to be better today, I think it may be from lack of intake- I am having a hard time getting the Protein and fluids down.
-
I am 2 days out on my sleeve, and am seeming to keep a headache at all times- is that normal, or something I should call the Dr about?
-
I'll be praying for a smoothe surgery and speedy recovery! 2 days out on mine, and hanging in there
-
Hey guys, I'm back home now...struggling a little to get the fluids and Protein in, but today was better than yesterday. Thanks for the support! I think I'm really gonna need it to get through the next few days !
An NSV worthy of a post.
