  1. Wow...when you're there, time seems to stand still. Now that I'm home it feels like it was all dream. haha Feeling great. Some soreness. Haven't taken any pain meds since the hospital and sleeping quite comfortably. Trying desperately to get my liquids in. Trying to stay hydrated but it's it's difficult. For the first time in my life I'm not constantly thinking about food. Catch you all after the holiday weekend when I'm back to work. Have a good one! Hugs!
  2. Awesome! Keep us posted on how you're doing!
  3. Aww...great poem! 12 days huh? It'll be here before you know it!
  4. What exactly do you mean by "not American standards" exactly? Were the people not friendly? Were the guards right by the doors as you entered? I'll be there on the 29th. I'm hoping to at least get there in time to say hello to you or goodbye as you're leaving. I'm wishing you all the best, honey! You be strong!
  5. Congrats! Work that sleeve baby! lol
  6. My bestest wishes for you!! Embrace the sleeve baby! haha
  7. This is it Von. The end all of diets. And it will work...you know it... and I know it. I'll be sleeved on Monday as well. Party at my hospital bed. Bring your own Protein shake. haha
  8. You are going on vacation Krista. Somewhere where people will wait on you and take care of you. Somewhere warm and sunny where you don't have to cook or clean...haha I know about the anxiety of bringing your pups to the kennel. I have to do the same and I know they'll be so sad that they won't eat a thing. Luckily for us it's only 4 days...right? Be strong. We'll see you soon! Hugs, Lina
  9. Carrie! Don't you want a chance at a normal life? Drinking only liquids and being in pain for the rest of your life isn't an option, honey. No one deserves to live like that. I'm sure that after the surgery is over and you've well on your way to recovery, you'll think differently. Chin up, k? You'll get through this and all for the right reasons. :confused1:
  10. Sorry but the earliest flight I could find is 12:50pm - United Airlines. You'll have to wait for me. I believe well have to make one more stop to pick up our new found surgery mate Shrinkingirl and we should be good to go for preop tests. I'm so anxious to get this done that I'm having trouble sleeping at night. No bad thoughts... Just excited I guess.
  11. Sending you strength and good wishes Carrie. Be strong. Your kids need you and you know you'd do anything for them, right? Just think that there's nothing more important than that, and you'll be fine.
  12. Yay!! Can't wait! Krista, I hope we'll have a chance to say hello on the Friday but if we don't, I wish you all the best!!
  13. Ahhh, so you must be the guy Monica told me about. haha She mentioned something about Ernesto (the driver) having to pick up another gentleman at the airport that day. YOU must be him! Will you be flying in? If you are, I think you'll be waiting for my flight to come in before we leave for the hospital. Be patient...I'll get there!
