  1. Thank you so much for sharing!!! 100 pounds is huge, and you must be very proud and happy!!!! Gives me the strength and hope!!!
  2. From preop holding room to PACU was 45 min. I am thinking the actual procedure was about 35-40 minutes.
  3. I am 11 days out and am trying to eat some different things on my full liquid diet. It seems like I do well with campbell's tomato Soup, cream of chicken, broths, etc... Once in awhile I eat something that really causes some pain. For instance, I ordered lunch from Jason's Deli and ordered a cup of tomoto basil soup yesterday. After two teaspoons, I had to stop due the severe crampy, contraction like pains after swallowing the soup. This has happened once before with something I ate. Does anyone else have this? Is it because my stomach still is healing and just not ready yet? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I hope this will pass eventually and I will beable to enjoy many foods one day in smaller amounts. D
  4. Thanks for sharing this. I was just recently sleeved and this has been one of my fears. Seeing your success in toning has given me some hope! You look awesome!
  5. Carrie- It was nice meeting you too. I am not sure about the support groups. It will depend on when and where. My recovery is going okay but I had a coughing episode yesterday that made things a bit worse. As long as I am still I am fine. Each day will get better, right? My kids come home tomorrow, so I hope I am getting around a little better.
  6. Sleeved yesterday at 8:30 am, going home today at 1 pm! Woohooo!!!! Still a little sore but able to keep down my one ounce every 15 min. I am so excited about sleeping in my own bed!
  7. Carrie- I have not the surgery yet since mine is scheduled in Dallas tomorrow as well but wanted to offer my support. Sending you thoughts and prayers for an uneventful surgery tomorrow. (((hugs)))
  8. I am staying local with Dr Kim in Dallas. I will let you know how things turn out once I am back at home....good luck!
  9. I am having the gastrectomy version......on Thursday!!!!! YIKES!!! Nerves are setting in. LOL...when is your surgery scheduled? Best of luck!
  10. I have chosen to keep it a secret with the except of my sister, mother and two close friends. I feel a little embarassed since my BMI is only 33 and paying out of pocket. I feel like a lot of people would ridicule me and my decision to persue WLS but I do have 75 pounds to lose and it is not going anywhere without surgery. I just kind of feel like it is nobodys business!
