  1. Hay girls, maybe this may be the answer to the the thinning hair after surgery. I work for a Dentist and the otherday I had a patient that just went thru chemo therapy. All her hair was gone thru the process. Someone told her to get that shampoo that is for horses, and people. It is made to give horses a fuller mane, shine, etc. My patient swears by it, her hair came back in no time at all, thick and beautiful. I have not had my surgery yet but what the heck, I will be trying anything to keep my locks if you know what I mean. Good luck to all of you, and me. Vicki:thumbup:
  2. Hi guys! Looking for DR's in the gool old USA who have sleeves for a great price. Mexico Dr's around $5,200.00 GREAT price and all of you have great things to say about them. I want to stay in the US but LOVE the $5,200.00 cost. Any ideas????? Thanks much! Vicki:thumbup1:
  3. Hi Becca! I had to have the endo thing. It was fine. They knocked me out, did it and then woke me up. Simple as that...no pain and I was fine. My surgeon made me have it, who knows why, I just did what they said to do, oh the hoops.......and I have not ever had banding or anything. All my info was submitted to ins compay and now I wait and wait and wait. Good luck to you and do not be fearful of the test. Its really nothing to worry about. Take care and best of luck! Vicki

  17. Hi to you all. I NEED your help. My surgeon wants to send a letter from my PCP saying why he thinks I need VSG. Soooooo he ask me what do you want me to say. I know on here somewhere there was a "dummy" letter that someone had one here and it was kinda fill in the blanks kinda thing. And some of you are better at this than we are so will you please help me???? Thanks much. My surgeon will be sending all my info to the ins. company the first week in Sept, so it will be here in no time. THANK you all sooooo much.
  18. Hi there! I am Vicki from Pa. I decided to have VSG about 5 months ago. I am still in process. I have had 5 of my 6 Dr. visits, LOTS of test and yet, I have no idea if I will get approverd by my ins. company. Yes they cover WLS but all cases are not the same. I think that if I go thru ALL this stuff and I am not approved, what then? I told my husband alot of people go to Mexico and hes response was "yea right" and where are we gona get $6,000.00 to do that. He thinks I look fine and is not sure in his mind that I REALLY need this. And six grand is cheep compaired to having it done on the USA. But I am just praying that I get approved. It seems like alot to go thru but I am sure we will both come out the otherside better off for it. Just get started......ask LOTS of questions. And this site is wonderful. I do not have alot of contact with people on here but I do enjoy reading what everyone has to say.Let me know if I can be of any help to you and I will try. Good luck!:crying:
  19. Everywhere I look more and more people are going to Mexico for their VSG. I get that if you are selfpay the cost is great.......Is there anyone you know in the USA that the cost would be the same as going to Mexico? I just can't see going out of the country! Thanks much for your reply!
