  1. Hi All, Has anyone every considered gastric bypass over the sleeve, but ended up getting the sleeve? Can anyone who has done this give any suggestions why you chose the procedure you did? I am asking this question because at my original appointment I was told that the sleeve was covered under my insurance and was assured tha all will go well. Well what do you know, time for approval stage and insurance company does not cover the Sleeve. But they will cover bypass and band. Any suggestions? I am so confuse now because I spent so much time researching the sleeve and was mentally prepared for it. Now I'm being pressured to make a desicion that I am not sure about.
  2. MINI-Me, I'm gald your feeling better. I am set for Sept. 3. Can anyone offer any advice or expectants? I have read a lot of different feelings on the sleeve. I just don't want to do it and end up not losing anything. All the help is appreciated.
  3. Thanks so much for the answers. If you could do it all over again, would you have still done the surgery knowing what you now know? Do you feel it was worth it? Did you find it difficult adjusting to your new stomach? Have you notice a change in your attitude, appearance, etc. I know I'm asking a lot of questions. I am just trying to prepare myself for the next step.
  4. Julie6 Congrats on taking that step. How did you feel after surgery? Were you in a lot of pain afterwards?
  5. Hi All, I am scheduled to have my surgery in September. Has anyone had their "Letter of Necessity" denied. Is the process difficult getting approval. I am learning as I go. I have read a lot and a lot of iformation can sometime discur one from the whole process. I have submitted all required information that was asked of me. Just concern how detail one should be on this letter. Any suggestions??
  6. Thanks so much for the info. Good luck on your journey. How did you get the weight tracker? That's pretty cool!
  7. Hi Everyone, I am in my testing stage of the process. I just have my psych and blood work left to do before it's submitted to my insurance company. My doctor is positive that it will not be a problem. Does anyone know where I can get more information on the sleeve. I have not gotten a date yet, but my concern was the healing time.
