  1. Oh man, I would TOTALLY do it all over again....It was so worth it...I did not have any complications what so ever, it was hard for me to think that I even had surgery and had to remind myself to slow down...I did find in the first couple of weeks that my stomach was "growling", but now i have non of that...i can pretty much eat anything, just in smaller portions and so far i have lost over 35 lbs since June 5th. It's so exciting for me since I know I would have never lost this much weight on my own, and I love exercising because I know that they weight is coming off...good luck on whatever you decide, you are the one that has to live with the decesion...I'm just really glad that I went ahead with it...
  2. Awesome, congrats and I will most certainly be sending up prayers for you right now...I had a wonderful recovery..it was hard to believe that i even had surgery a couple days after...take good care of yourself!!!!
  3. Glad to hear that you are coming along in your recovery...i did not have to have a drain put in and recovery for me was really good, i was not in much pain and if i was they were right there to give me something for it!! I stayed a couple of extra days expecting that i would need the extra time, but i could have flown a couple of days after, i was feeling that good, but it took us 3 days to get home, because of delayed and missed flights, having to overnite it, that part was so not fun, and now i am tired and jet legged still...but i will get back on my feet pretty soon! Congrats once again and so now let the weight fall off!!!!!
  4. Thank you everyone for your responces, i was worry that i might be the only one ...lol...the problem might be that i am not getting enough water or liquids, and i stopped taking the anacid stuff cause i was feeling pretty good, but i may need it now...this forum is great....lots of great info and advice!!! Thanx again everyone!!!!
  5. Hi there everyone, I was just wondering if anyone had the feeling that their stomach growled after the surgery...I am sure that I have felt and heard it growl...is this normal? I am still on the clear liquid diet, anyone else have this feeling after and hopefully went away? I thought that removing that hormone that I would not feel hungary anymore, but it seems like I am hungary...please help if anyone has experience with this and any advice....Thank you so much!:confused1:
  6. Hip- Hip- Hooray!!!!!!....Congrats, isn't it great to be on the other side...FINALLY...how are you feeling? 7. I was actually given liquid antibiotics to take home with me right after surgery, it was only 3 days worth, but i was fine, no problem with stomach cramps or anything else and i am only 6 days post -op...feel better soon!
  8. Hi there tbarnes18...I actually had my surgery a mile across the border from Eagle Pass with Dr. Alvarez..him and his staff were great and keep me well medicated too...which was great. Glad to hear that you are on the losers bench now, how are you feeling? Are you still having head hunger? I was really bad the first couple of days and now it has tapered off...i do think that my tiny stomach "growled" this morning...I wonder is that normal if you are only on liquids??? Anyway, hope all is well...take it easy, gets easier every day!!!

  12. :thumbup1::thumbup1:Hi there, I had my surgery on June 5th, everything went so smoothe. I wasn't even that much pain to be honest, I was more tired then anything. I stayed in the hospital for 2 nights. I was actually bored the 2nd day and the Doctor told me that if you are bored you are doing well..lol..I got up a walked A LOT...both due to boredom and knowing that the more that you walked the better you should feel! Overall the experience was awesome, I would do it again tomorrow in a HEARTBEAT! My wounds are healing very nice and I do have a lil bit of gas pains once in a while, but nothing to serious, so anyone thinking about doing, DO IT!!! It will be sooooo worth it! Can't wait for the pounds to start falling off!! Good luck to you all...I am SO excited to be on the LOSERS bench, FINALLY!!!! If anyone has questions just ask me!!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
  13. Thanx guys, and wow momma of 4, you are doing great, did you think you would lose so much weight so fast??? You must be so excited!!! Good luck Dansha, everything will go great!!!!
  14. Well, the surgery is over and done with, gotta be honest not as bad as I thought it was going to be. They prepped me for surgery and gave me some sleepy juice and the next thing i knew i was waking up back in my room...had some gas, but that wasn't too bad either. I was given pain meds as much as a needed it...i got my IV out today and that felt good, have been up walking a lot today, that really helps....i am still a lil head hungary but i'm sure once i get back onto some liquids and soft foods it won't be as bad!!! Anyway, good luck to anyone who is doing this soon...you can do it, hang in there.....now move on over, it's on to the losers bench for me!!!...yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:thumbup:
  15. I know how you feel sunnyinaz, i am only 33 and should not have this much joint pain, but when you have to carry around all this extra weight, it takes a toll on your body, i even have a foot spur...i mean that is mostly found in older ppl, but then also obese ppl too, so that would be my problem, i am hoping that i will help my joints a lot and i also have PCOS..hoping it will aleveate some of the symtoms as well...hard to lose weight because of it...good luck everyone, day 3 of my pre-op diet...surgery date...June 5th!!!
