  1. Thank you all so much. Really, could you all be any more wonderful? My anxiety goes in and out. I am feeling better right now! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your kind words. I am getting oh so much closer to the new me and I can't wait! Love the "just breathe". I always said if I ever got a tattoo, that would be what it would say, funny how that is what you said to me. Love it. xoxo
  2. I leave for Mexico in 2 days to have sleeve surgery with Dr. Aceves. I can't lie....I am very scared. I keep looking at my youngest daughter and think, "am I going to leave her without a mother?" I know that is so morbid. I just can't seem to help it. I am leading such a bad example right now for my 3 girls being overweight, that I am truly confident that this is the right decision, but I feel like my mind is playing tricks on me. My husband is extremely supportive and knows where I am going and what I am doing. I have told my mother that I am having sleeve surgery but lied and said I was having it in San Diego instead of Mexico. She would not approve of me leaving the country. My father and sister I have totally lied to, I know I am awful lying to my family , and told them I was going to a weightloss clinic (Ha, maybe not totally a lie!!!!). I guess I am just feeling broken up over the fact that if something happened to me, I would be going out a liar. I need to do what is right for me and really don't want anyone giving me any doubts or second thoughts. I know this is the best thing I could do for myself and I want this, bad. Sorry for all the rambling, I just needed a place to get it off my chest. Thank you all so much. Hopefully, I will keep you all posted as to my journey.
  3. Ally - I will be there with you girl. I have 3 daughters and I keep thinking that I hope I am making the right decision for them. I will be there on Thursday, I don't know if I will see you that day as you will be recovering from surgery, but I will ask about you and see if maybe I can pop in. I am sure we will both need each other! Im so excited for you and me!!!!
  4. I am starting to freak out. I cannot believe how close I am. I think I am most fearful of making it through surgery and the flight home. I just want to be well by the time I get home. I can't imagine how my children will react if I get home and am not feeling very well. Ok, positive thoughts. So excited! xoxo Jennifer
  5. So happy you Latoya!
  6. Kathy: Go back to the bariatric website and order their catalog. I really enjoyed reading it. All the help I can get! I am really excited for all you have coming up JulyBride. What a great year you are going to have!!!
  7. Ok, from your picture, you don't look old enough to have a child, let alone a grandchild. You look so young. I bought my plane ticket today, so I am going. I have to send my deposit in to Dr. Aceves. That is on my to do list for this week. My flight was expensive, my fault for waiting so long I guess! I am going to start hunting down more stuff for after surgery. I got a really cool catalog in the mail today from Bariatric Eating (I think the website is bariatriceating.com). They have a lot of stuff that looks like it will be helpful. I haven't made it into GNC or VitaminShoppe yet b/c I am embarrassed to be looking at bariatric stuff in person. ISn't that just awful? We are going to have such a good experience in Mexico. Can't wait!!
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if I was the one who got where we stay when wrong. I am good like that! I am so psyched that I have someone to look forward to meeting! I think we just finally decided tonite that I am going alone. One of my issues is I don't take care of myself. I worry if my husband comes along, I will be concerned about what he is doing, if he is entertained, fed, etc...and will not focus on me. Is that crazy? I want to take the 5 days I am gone, and focus on me and not worry about my husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 lizards and my parents. That is where I am right now. I feel pretty good about it!!!! What about you, who are you bringing? Yes to the Protein supps. I have the
  9. Hi all. I am Jennifer and I will be sleeved by Dr. Aceves in Mexico on July 2. Ally, I will be there with you! I arrive in San Diego on July 1, sleeved on the second and per Nina will spend the rest of the time in the Hospital until I leave the morning of July 5. Ally, I wonder why you go back to the hotel and I stay in the hospital? Anyway, I am 5'4'' and weigh 210. I am so ready to feel better about myself and be able to wear clothes that fit me well and make me feel good about myself. Right now, I don't feel so good about myself and it is starting to affect everything I do. I have 3 girls and they don't have the best role model. That is all going to change. I am so excited I can hardly stand it!
  10. I am so glad another mom of 3 will be there! I am so excited and so nervous and so happy that I will have some "friends" there!! By the way, I am not leaving on July 3, I am leaving on July 5. I shouldn't have responded so late at night. Cavyguy can't wait to meet you and your wife as well!! xoxo Jennifer
  11. I am!!!! Surgery scheduled for July 2. So, I arrive on July 1 and will leave on July 3. Very nervous. I haven't booked my flights, I need to get on that!!! I really look forward to meeting you.
