hi boys & girls ..... boy what a ride have i been on ! . OK so i checked in on may 4, doc got to me about 1 PM . i was put into the holding room where i said goodbye to my wife & mom. I met with the prep people &was taken to the operation room ,where they gave me a local followed by gas ,& off to wonderland i went .OK GET READY ---------- WHEN I WOKE UP, I WAS IN THE MOST PAINFULLY STATE I HAVE EVER BEEN IN .I FELT AS IF A SEMI HAD RUN OVER ME . but soon after that they hooked me up to morphine and hello!!!!!!!!! i was able to deal with the pain .i got 5 holes and all hurt. day 1 ,was me just dealing with pain . day 2, got better quickly, only problem was i could not go to the bathroom (#1) the morphine had stopped my urine. so they inserted a tube into my penis to allow me to go . not a lot of fun . DAY 3, gas , gas & more gas . cramps & more cramps. pain was manageable, i stop the painkillers & began to walk .walk .walk maybe a hour a day on & off . i would go into the back of the hospital where they have a park & just circle it over & over it made my gas pass and i felt better. it also helped with nausea witch i had from day 1 .-day 4 no more pain , just like that ! i was sore but that was it . it was so surprising! Dr wiz man came to check me out & clear me (by the way great doc ,)they removed my drain plug-- ouch!!!! and home i went . i have been good, only to eat what is allowed pureed eggs.chicken.tuna. --jello, ice pops, protein shakes etc. and mom made me a chicken soup that i put into the blender before i ate . i have no regrets i feel i am on my way ! -people i say this to you , walk walk and walk -it helped so much in my recovery.... it's day 5 and i feel great no pain , not hungry, & very mellow ............. love to all :001_smile: got questions - ask me ...jack .

Hey Everyone, This is Shauni, Jack Mario's older Daughter. He has told me quite a lot about all of you online and I'd like to thank you all for your support He requested I come online and give you all an update on how hes doing. So his surgery was on May 4th and it went quite well :thumbup:, (it was even recorded for med. student use heeeehee:tongue2:) [[we're trying to get our hands on the tape so we can watch it :lol0:]] I wasnt allowed to see him the day following the surgery but from what my Mom told me he was in major pain, and hooked up to a lot of "tubing". I did see him today though and hes doing FANTASTIC. His nurses are having him walk every now and then and his says the pain has gotten better. The only thing is that he can't stop hiccuping!!! lol The nurses say its because of the hernia in his esophagus that he got fixed and the hiccups won't go away til its healed. Tomorrow he gets transfered from ICU into the regular hospital section and hopefully they'll release him :thumbup: Attached is a picture for all of you to see <3 lol (as you can see he looks a little cranky :laugh0: he hasn't slept much ) Thank You All Very Much, all your encouraging words and advice has given him the hope and support he needed :001_tt1: He will most likey type back to you all the minute he gets home :thumbup:

ok . boys& girls . it's my turn .. wish me luck . i have to be at the hospital at 1100am . don't think i will get much sleep . but im' in good spirit's . went out on friends boat last sunday & got sunburn allover, guess sunblock didn't work like it's suppose to .. asked doc about it .. he told me to drink a lot of water & first aid spray. i will be easy to spot . the only 365 pound red man in the building .l.o.l. talk later , i should be home fri ... love to all .....jack.

How about adding supplements to your diet ,after your healed & start working out . i have been turned on to this great product called( nitric oxide) it helps with oxygen levels in your body giving you a great pump !!! also ( Gama o ) = natural testosterone booster. i won't take anything unless it's all natural .. but with the sleeve ???????????
