I am on day 6 of the liquid diet. I do get hungry but I am just trying to embrace my hunger! LOL!! One thing that helped me was the week before liquids I got off all carbs and sugar. I was really tired that week but now I feel great! Just starving!! Surgery set for Apr. 5 in San Antonio.

  6. Hey Shawna! You look great!! I just had my briefing on the sleeve surgery @ WilfordHall. I am confused all the info they gave me said eat 6-8 meals a day...I had read other places to eat 3 meals with no snacks...I have lots of stuff to do before I get mine I am guessing it will be around November. Seems like an eternity! Well looks like your doing great! Take care!!

    Shopping victories!

I have also wanted to shop @ whitehouse black market! Their ads are so cute! I went to their website but was disappointed that they didnt have plus sizes. I was hoping I could shop in stores like that after surgery. It really wasnt all that?
  8. Thanks Tiff! As usual your posts are full of good information!

    Regain?

I am starting the process for WLS so I am doing alot of reading about all the differant surgeries. I think the sleeve is the way to go but I still read everything I can get my hands on so I was on OH and I saw this blog written by a girl that had RNY and how she had gained all her weight back and several people commented on her blog and they too had gained most of their weight back. Most of them had RNY there was 1 who had VSG but I was surprised @ how many people had regained their weight! These people were like 4yrs out...I am concerned because this is a lot to go through to turn around in 4 yrs and gain all the weight back! Is this common? :001_tt2:
  12. Wow your before and after pics are awesome! I am just starting the process and am so inspired with all you "losers". I also live in Texas. What part of Texas do you live in?

  13. Nat your profile looks kinda bare!:lol0:

  14. Thats awesome!!

  15. Thats awesome!! So you feel good and no complications? Thats so exciting! I cant wait to be a loser too!

  16. Hey Shawna I just wanted to see how your doing! It seems like I will never get my surgery! Six months seems so far off! I hope all is well!

    Changed my blog settings

ok I am guilty of lurking as well...I do find your story an inspiration to us all. I havent had my surgery so I use this website for information since I am still weighing my options. I must admit I do enjoy all the success stories. It reminds me to keep my head up during this long process. I went to my first briefing at wilford hall and I was so informed! It has helped me so much to read about everyones experiences. It will be awhile before I have my surgery so I just didnt feel I had anything to contribute. Thankyou for all your blogs you are an inspiration to all of us.
  18. Hi Shawna~ I went to my first briefing today...she did tell me they were pretty strict about the nutritionist thing. The problem is I live in San Angelo and we dont have a nutritionist @ Goodfellow anymore. Did you lose weight seeing a nutritionist? I'm afraid if I lose weight seeing a nutritionist they will tell me I dont need the surgery...6 months just seems like a long time to wait. So how was your experience @ willford hall? I know nothing about the hospital...today was the first time I had ever been there. Congratulations on your surgery! My friend had it done before Halloween and she has lost 60lbs! Goodluck to you! Erika

  19. Hey Tiff I have Tricare Prime. I will have it done @ Lackland AFB in San Antonio. That is the only way Tricare will pay for the sleeve from what I understand. My BMI is 46, I have high blood pressure. I thought once I got the referral I was good to go. What do you think?

  20. Hi my name is Erika I am new to this site and considering VSG surgery. We are stationed @ Goodfellow in Tx. I have gotten the referral from my Dr. and have my first briefing @ Willford Hall friday. Can you explain the process to me. Am I going to have to see a nutritionist for 6 months really? You look awesome! I have enjoyed everyones success stories...and feel very informed about the sleeve! Thanks, Erika
