    What are your favorite snacks

My physician doesn't want me eating in between meals but most of the time i do. Few mixed nuts, yogurt, cheese or peanut butter. I think that is best because i have friends of mine that have lost weight by eating 5-6 small meals per day. They say it keeps metabolism up. Don't know if this is true or not.
  2. coopersmama, when did you have your surgery? can't remember the date. i had my vsg on 12809 and i have had probably 3 stalls. one lasted at least 2 1/2 weeks and then i started losing again. i feel like it is our bodies adjusting to the surgery, we are on clear liquids and then start to eat semi regular foods and then the stall happens because your body thinks it is starving to death. then it realizes hey she is not starving me so it says hey i guess we can loose a little more weight. keep doing what your doing, make sure you eating enough cals. that your doctor and nutritionist wants you to eat. keep exercising and do some measurements and then in 2 weeks measure again and see how the inches are doing. the scale may not move but i bet the inches will. give it a try girl....
  3. i was sleeved back in dec. on the 8th. i have been doing really good. well that's not too far.

    Whatcha' Eating?

i am with you midwestgirl. i do want to loose weight but i am not as strict as these people are. like today i went to arby's for lunch cause i forgot my lunch at home. it was a crazy morning. i ordered a roasted chicken sanidwich, took the meat off and just ate it. it was sort of like luncheon meat. then i had ordered a baked potato and i ate maybe 2 oz of that. both went down so well. i just want to eat normally. i really don't want to be that fanactic about every little morsel that i eat. well God bless us because your mind really plays bad tricks on us!!!

    Confession Time

i wish i had problems with carbs like you guys do. they go down so well. i try to limit myself to 30 grams perday. some days i go over. yesterday i barely had 28 grams and today i had 45grams. go figure. well i know that i am not as strict as some people are on this forumn but i didn't have this surgery so i couldn't live a normal life. i don't want to be fat anymore but i still would like to eat certain foods. i am sure that way of thinking is abnormal!!!

  9. 3 chicken breast-raw 1 can of corn 1 can black Beans 1 Lg. jar of salsa 1 8 oz cream cheese put first 4 ingredients in crock pot and cook on high for 4 hours. then take chicken out, shred it and then put back in crock. then put your cream cheese in and cook for 1 more hour. put on wrap, tortillia chips for a mexican salad or just eat by itself. this is very yummy and goes does really well. today i didn't have any salsa, so i used a can of rotel tomatoes and i also didn't have a corn so i used cream style corn. good luck!!:confused1::drool5::blushing::drool5:

    Gallstones it is. . .

oh tiff, sorry that you have to go through surgery all over again. the only good thing is that you want hurt anymore when you eat. i know it can be miserable. had mine out back in 92 or 93. mine was also full of stones. it probably flared up due to your healthy diet. i will keep you in my prayers this week.

Article on people keeping WLS "secret"

i have told everybody at my work. i am not ashamed, the only thing i am worried about is failure. especially since they know at work about my wls. they will say why even have it done if it was going to come back. there are days i don't eat right. i guess it is head hunger that makes me want bad things. i have the support of all my family and most of my co-workers. so we will see how all of this goes. lol to vsg
  13. i have no regrets about getting sleeved really. the only thing i have going on is a reflux issue. some days are worse than others. but i am so glad that i did this in order to have a tool to help me loose some much needed weight.

Too Much Info.....but I need Help!

okay if you are still on liquids your bowels aren't going to move. i was told i could put a powder lactad i think it is called in my liquids. like i put it in coffee or tea and it has no taste. it might help. ask doctor about that.
  22. i am going to post a recipe that i made tonight in the crock pot. it was really good going down and it would be a great recipe at any stage. look for it guys and lots of love and keep your heads up because the weight is sluffing off of us!!!

  23. hey loser, thanks for the compliment. believe me i don't feel very pretty!! i still feel really fat. i have a great day today and am so glad for that. i am still eating in between meals. i usually eat yogurt, string cheese or a spoonful of peanut butter. food is like a drug and wish my body didn't hang onto food like it does. i work at a hospital in labor and delivery with a bunch of women and most of them can pack it down, and never gain an ounce. i hate these type of women. i also believe we are the stronger sex because weight loss is one of the hardest things that i have ever done. how are you doing with eating and keeping it down-loser?

ready2bhealthy- i am doing really well. glad that i had the surgery. i am down 54# since nov. and i couldn't have kept it off without this little tool in my abdomen. some days are harder than others. today was not a hard day and food stayed down really well.

  24. well i am 6 weeks out and everything that crunches goes down so good. crackers like goldfish, wheat crackers, pretzles and tostado chips go down so well. i am having some weaknesses. i knew it was going to start because that is how i am in the past. i don't want this to fail but i tell you i want to stop snacking. i shouldn't be doing this!! i am so stupid!!!someone please help!!

Can I Ever Eat Bread Again?

i have had some rice and pasta in the last few days but i might eat around 1/2 ounce of that. rice goes down better than pasta so i want eat pasta for awhile. i also like the low carb wraps but my sleeve doesn't. it usually hurts. i am a huge mexican fan. i love me some mexican foods. we usually eat them at least 3-4 times a week. i also ate this morning a half of a piece of wheat n' fiber bread. did you get that-it was half of 1 piece of bread with egg salad on it. i was very satisfied. it is getting easier to eat some things so you really have to be carefull. i sabotage my eating just about every day. well i am having trouble with not eating in the evening....
