    Monday Morning Weigh In

congrats girls!! I haven't lost much weight this week. I think 3# since Saturday. I too weigh everyday and I have never weighed so much in all of my life. I think what has caused me not to loose is my carbs are up. I do really good for breakfast then lunch or dinner I blow it. I wasn't get enough cals in when I went to see my doctor and he made me swap to 2% milk and the carbs are high. I am at a loss. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Which jeans fit u best?

I am thinking about just wearing my or blue scrubs everywhere I go until I get down to where I want to be!!haha. I also had a thought about going to resale shops so I am not spending so much money on different sizes...
  6. just wanted to let you know you are in my prayers and thought. hoping all is well tonight with you and you are recovering nicely.

  7. my doctor told me to loose at least 10# before surgery because he said it would make it easier on me and him. he could see things better in the upper part of your abdomen. i ended up losing 18# and he said that made a huge difference. he said he didn't have near the trouble he does with some patients that don't loose weight. what kind of diet does he have you own?

keep it up. you will get there. cut out everything that is the bad white foods. rice, potatos, bread, and just eat lots of protein.
  11. you are really groving that sleeve. you go girl. keep up the great work. i want to stop eating mashed potatos. they feel so good going down, they don't hurt like most meats. i am doing the mushy stuff. i love eggs and cheese in this stage. i think i could eat an egg every meal but dont want to get tired of them..

    Tastebuds? ? ?

well i know my taste buds have changed. i have been trying to drink coffee for the last week and half, been making it the same way i always have and it is so bitter to me. between different foods and my protein shakes i am getting between 70-85 grams of protein per day. i am on the mushy stage and tonight we had meatballs and i just mushed then up real good, field peas and green beans mushed up. i hope that i'm not messing up eating. i am three days from soft foods.

    feeling good!!

Hello tonight. almost 1 week post op. feeling very good tonight. i had two 4 oz protein shakes today for a total of 40 grams of protein. they do make a difference in the way you feel. i start getting really shaky and weak feeling right before i know that i need to drink one. FOr all the ones that have not had your surgery be sure to get you some meal replacement powder or whatever you think you can stomach!! believe me it helps!
  23. wow that is interesting about the Protein myth. my support group says it all of the time at our meetings. i know my doctor doesn't want his patient using the Protein shakes but i don't see how a person can get in all of their Proteins just with food alone especailly in the beginning. thanks for the help
