  1. Hi Girlinnycn - I am going through the process of being banded and am using Dr. Ren (who is Dr. Fielding's partner and wife). I would love to hear about your experience with them. Good luck.
  2. Seaangel - I understand how you feel. I am so undecided about what to do. On one hand I hate the way I have become - but on the other hand I am hoping that I can live with the band and not regret doing it. I keep thinking about all the things I like to eat and wonder if I will ever be able to eat them again (in much smaller quantities). Good luck with your decision - I know it is a hard one. Also - did anyone have their surgery in New York and NYU. If so, please let me know. Thanks.
  3. Congrats to both of you. You are both an inspiration. This site is great. I have learned so much. I was so happy to hear that eventually I will be able to eat all my favorite foods (just not in the quantity that I do now). Can anyone tell me how long I will be out of work for. I am a cashier in a supermarket (part-time while my kids are in school) and am on my feet all day and lifting heavy things. Thanks.
  4. Hi Everyone - I was so happy to find this site. I am in the process of getting banded. I had my psych appt already and have appt with nutritionist May 3rd. I have tried every diet (twice) and have always gained back my weight and more! A little nervous about having surgery (never had surgery before) and also a little worried about what I will be able to eat once I start eating again and also worried about PB. I have two children and husband and still have to cook - does anyone every feel deprived that they cannot eat what everyone else is eating. Also, I am a little confused about the size of the band. I did not know that there are different sizes - what is the difference? Would appreciate any info anyone can give me. Also, I am a little afraid of needles but I heard that it does not hurt to get a fill - is that true? Thanks and hope to talk to all of you soon!
