  1. I agree with Melissa about asking your surgeon this question. I would think that he would have the best advice on this. On a side note. I know someone who had implants, and about 6 weeks after her surgery, someone came from behind and hugged her real tight - even picked her up from behind. Resulting in 1 implant "sinking" under the breast tissue. Its not very noticable to others, but she says with her shirt off, its VERY noticable (one is perky, the other one is not). So I just caution you - if and when you have the implants, just be careful of really tight hugs while you are in the healing phase.
  2. Hey Estela! Just think... this is a major overhaul! When its all over, your hubby's gonna think he's with another woman! LOL Im REALLY interested in the thigh stuff. Make sure your SIL gets close-ups, ok? We want all the details! Good luck, and God bless! Will definately pray for you tonight in our night prayers.
  3. Kathy, sure hope you get restful sleep. Do you have anything for pain? Or just tylenol? And so very sorry to hear of your MIL. Poor darling... at 81 all we can do is make them comfortable! She sure has alot of health problems
  4. Hey everyone - dont forget the camera's!!!!!! we need updates on that picture thread!
  5. I heard that place is beautiful! We are aiming for Houston. Mike has a 4 day weekend, so we are planning on taking the kids on a "family vacation". Anne asked me 6 times yesterday, "when are we going on our family vacation?" Now its turning into bribery.... "If you dont stop fighting, we are NOT going on that "family vacation". Space Center, Water park and (God help us) Astroworld... and many bottles of wine for the parents! Oh FUN!
  6. Crystal - I like both as well, but Im with Betty, #1 is my favorite. by the way, if I had your coloring and beautiful smile, I would NEVER allow the wolves to tell me anything! <<again, insert DeLarla's woof>>
  7. Happiness isnt having everything you want; Happiness is when you want everything you already have.
  8. so glad she cleaned all those hookers up... LOL!!!
  9. wooo hoo Crystal! those pix are GREAT!! {{im so proud of you}} Would you mind if Penni made you an avator ??
  10. Im just as frustrated as you in reading some of these post lately. And you are so right on about our health being more important then weightloss. IF you cant eat any solid's for a week without vomiting/pbing... something is WRONG! Come on people. Wisen up!
  11. Amen! If Im not hungry (only in the morning), I dont eat! I make up for it during the afternoon hours though...

Hey Junebug and WELCOME to LBT! So glad to have you join us
  13. Trish, for me it depends. Alot of times my "hunger" is purely mental. LaMadam suggested to me loooong ago - to wait until my tummy growls until I actually eat. Bad thing is that my tummy very seldom growls. just to give you an example... last friday night, we had a bunch of people over and had a ton of food prepared. I nibbled on everything here and there, stopping around 5:30. I didnt eat again until the next morning's coffee... and my tummy never growled! Anyway, I still find myself grazing instead of having 3 meals a day. So, finally answering your question, I probably eat 2-3 hours apart. But never get really hungry, just eat b/c of boredom or availability, or emotional whatevers!
  14. interesting! for me, I crave more foods, but eat less due to more restriction. This is really the only time that I have to eat v e r y small bites and slow down even more.
  15. Kansascitygal, I agree with Penni! This is NOT normal and I would definately recommend a second opinion!!! Please!!! Your life depends on it. Losing 110 pounds in a year is wonderful. But if you are only able to eat such limited foods, then something is just not right. ((hugs))
  16. too funny! I even laughed out loud! The other day my good friend was over and Philip (2ys old) grabbed her shirt and said, "I unna see u bra". It tookk us a minute to figure out what he was saying. Oh geesh... those males!
  17. Hi Corinne, we are so glad to have you join in on the fun! WELCOME! LOVE the avator, too!

Just wondering if anyone has an incrediable story involving green tea. I know its an antioxident and also aids in weightloss (?). Anyone here experience positive things from it?
  20. The Inamed handbook says that your first fill should be 4-6 weeks after surgery. Depending your recovery and the surgeon. Its normal to be hungry till that first fill though. Just hang in there and try to maintain your current weightloss! And like you, when Im not losing pounds, I find that Im losing inches. Thats a motivating key to this journey!
  21. LOL! oh yeah! Thats what kids will do to ya! So glad Im not the only one with these issues!!!
  22. alrighty! Im 183 this morning! Im going for -10 in 10 weeks. That will put me at 173 oh, Happy day!
  23. Christine, I am very sorry to hear this. *PLEASE* contact your surgeons office and explain all of this to them. Gerd is NOT something "you just live with". Gerd is an acid from the stomach that is used to digest your food. This "acid" can cause band erosion, esophogus cancer and many other harmful problems. I strongly encourage you to call your doctor NOW! It is NOT normal if you have been able to count the number of times you have successfully eaten a solid! This is NOT a true weightloss that the band has been designed for. A very small unfill can make a BIG difference. (((hugs))) Please keep us posted, but in the meantime - CALL YOUR SURGEONS OFFICE!!!!!
