  3. 150mg of Iron?? when's the last time you pooped??? Iron causes constipation - be careful! Your muliti vit should contain all the vit.'s you need. Extra vit C is wonderful - cant get enough of this one!
  4. Ive heard that too. But its been years ago, and I havent heard any more about it in recent days. Im interested in what you discover.
  5. LOL! I eat one of those personal bags of cashews (the ones for .99 at any check-out)about once a week. Never had problems with it.
  6. one more thing, you mentioned getting another fill. Here is a site that helps many of us determine if thats what we are needing... http://lapbandtransformation.com/Adjustments.htm
  7. thats what Im thinking. You can add protien to many area here... chop steak/chicken into that delicious salad, add a couple of protien drinks - replace the diet coke with one. is this happening in the morning? Nearly all of us feel major restriction in the morning. and hitting a plateau is normal. Most of the time thats when you are losing inches - not weight. by the way, make sure your Water is around 60-80 oz's a day. Some people just drink and not measure their intake - but I always measure. You would be suprised the difference. dont worry, itll start going down again.

  12. LMBO.. ok Paula!!!!!!! I say this b/c anytime I change decade numbers, I weigh myself like 14 times *from shock* before I admit it! You are offically in Onderland!!!!! you go! woo hoo!
  13. I usually tell the waiter/waitress... "Ive had weightloss surgey and I cant eat it all" - but only tell if they start questioning.
  14. I thought this was kinda neat. add your weight and time spent exercising - and it gives you number of calories you burn for several activities. http://www.fatfreekitchen.com/weightloss/burn-calories.html
  15. Youre gonna make that goal weight - I just know you will!
  16. . what the heck... is this a new thing? And I cant believe he charged another 200 bucks? OMG! Oh well, at least you are "fixed"!
  17. mine too. Kelly said it best, you people should be given a special medal for turning out so good. Anyone ever read a book called, "A Child Called 'IT'" by David Pelzer? This man was severly abused by his mom - the things she did to him.... horrible. AND - she was an alcoholic too!
  18. Oh my goodness!!! What FUN! Trish, what was that you were gulping??? You two are so beautiful! Isnt it the neatest thing to meet someone from LBT?

ok Mary, we need pics of that new earring!!!! And Im not into tattoo's, but I do agree with Vines, that it should be meaningful! And of coarse we are going to want a picure of that too when you get it BTW - how much have you lost so far?
  20. Hi Flower, Vines is right! Very few people feel restriction with just the band - most of us need 1 or 2 or 3 or more fills to gain that restricted feeling. Sad, I know. I thought the same thing when I was banded - thought I got a defective tool. As much as we pay our doctors, this is one thing they need to tell us prior to surgery: you will NOT get restriction until your first fill!

Mary, Im gonna give this one a shot.... MSN is like yahoo. regardless of your internet provider, you will still be able to access MSN. Ive had MSN as my homepage for years and changed dial up providers twice AND switched to this DSL crap - and still have MSN as a homepage. Is this any help? like Crystal, I have no idea aout the security comp. Youre one up on us with that stuff. I asked TONS of questions to my cable company - they were VERY imformative and helpful (of coarse - they want my business) so Mary, try calling your local cable comp and ask these questions. Let us know what thy tell you.
  22. 184 this morning. -1 for the week. Thank you God.
  23. Robyn, Next Monday is you first fill? You dont want to be dodging hurricanes AND having stomach aches b/c you cant eat! Just be prudent, and keep a watchful eye on those storms in the gulf/Atlantic, and make your decision Monday morning.

Its really a good balance, hoarders and OCD's... you see, my parents moved last fall - both are hoarders. It took about 2 weeks for them to move everything they -needed- into their new home. Meanwhile, the old house remained F U L L of things they never needed or used... like scrap material, my mother hasnt sewen in 20 years. There was MORE things in the old house then what we moved to the new house (except for furniture). NOW! When it came time for us to clean the old house out, we made a "keep" pile, "garage sale" pile, and (my favorite) junk pile. They had lived in this home for more then 40 years, they had crap that they hadnt seen in... oh, 40 years. But my mother couldnt part with a lot of it. So I stoped asking "which pile" and just started chunking. 4 full outside trash cans later and a trip to the local dumpster, and only 2 rooms were cleaned out! phew! In her new home, she has a huge living room - 25X25. There is something on every wall, in every nitch, in every space. TOOOOOO suffocating for me. So I come home to my sanitarium. Crystal, all that crap everywhere is her security too. But security from what???

ahh, dont you guys just love our dysfuntional backgrounds that made us this way? Michelle, Lisa - I am definately on your team! I have a reputation in my family, "Dont leave it at Paula's house, she'll throw it away!" - and I will! I hate clutter. I mean it - I hate clutter! and Lisa, you are so right, I H A T E stuff on my counter tops too. I go to my parents and immediately start clearing the counters. Whats the deal with our kitchen issues? Crystal (and other hoarders) - one question. If you never use it (hadnt used it in years), why keep it? honestly now.
