I dont think Ive ever met a perfect someone.... no mental/physical/social/health problems? Come on! We are ALL flawed. (((hugs))) I hurt for you. I wish there was something I could say or do to help this state of being. Oh Leatha, I am so sorry. Men! Cant live with em, cant kill em! Or can we?
  3. Jamie, Look at the new YOU! and my mouth is open from looking at that weight loss....... Oh My Goodness!!!! You are scootin right along (so happy someone is)
  4. This is really a great question. The realist that I am, Im thinking about how commen sleep apnea is and how many people have gone under for surgery and lived to tell the tale. Thats a good question to ask the anethesis - and report back to LBT so we can keep it on file

only a weightloss support group could truly appreciate that pic of lil phil.
  6. Lisa, sometimes I wonder if those that attend a support group do better then those of us that give/recieve on-line support. When I get with a new mother that is so wrapped up in her new bundle of joy, I always leave appreciating/loving my kids more. And the same for being around that girl thats newly in-love... makes you a little more conscience about your own relationship. So! Im wondering about a real life lap-band support group - and maybe the enthuasim of actually being around other bandsters and hearing and seeing their journey... if thats what we need to kick us in the butt. Of coarse some of us arent able to do this, but then, some of us are (like me).

Its so HOT here, that Philip has to go in the fridge to cool off! actually I was busy with chores and heard "HELP! Momma, HELP ME!" and went to see what was going on..... he was trying to get somthing to eat from the top shelf. *sigh* oh! the perils of motherhood. I made him do it again so I could witness his great ability of climbing.

NJChick, OMG - this was a co-worker? how is she doing??? she must have gone out and smoked the whole pack. I cant imagine having a heat stroke from being exposed to the heat from just 1 cigi... unless she has other health issues. Riverrat, you got to see the shuttle??? wow! I agree with Vines.. we NEED pics of that. Leatha, how are you feeling now?
  9. Awe Trish! See? just when you were getting down, you have a great NSV. So so happy for you. by the way, was hubby pleased with the NSV?

oh my goodness, are you serious? do you have the humidity too? thats what is killin us here ~~~~ Leatha, CONGRAT"S on your new home. You MUST show us pics!!! When did you move? Betty, even the pool Water is HOT here. Nothing like swimming in 95 degree water... yuck! Kare, popsicles?? THats a great idea. Mike just told me that he's never been offered a popsicle.... but! An ice cold beer is about the hardest thing to refuse on a day like today. Lisa, HA! I guess they do. These community workers (policemen, mailmen, trashmen, etc.) know where they can get goodies - and they DO treat you better. The newsman just reported that we were getting a cool front in the next couple of days. Leatha, Betty, let us know just how "cool" this is going to be!

  13. Hi txdani! Welcome to LBT AND to the banded life! Having less BM's is very normal right in the beginning. Your system needs time to adjust to this new lifestyle. I remember having to take Milk of Mag to get things moving right at first. But you may want to check with your doc and see what he recommends. WELCOME again!

I dont know about any of you, but here in the Bayou Country - its H O T !!!! Heat index is just 110. Takes your breath away when you open the door. BTW, if any of you see your mailman, please offer him a glass of ice Water. Mike said that he was delivering mail to a friend's house the other day. The friend was in her truck, pulling into her driveway with her AC just blowing up a snowstorm while she sat there and talked his ears off. He was standing in the heat, the sun beating down on his head.... she didnt even offer him a cup of ice water. :cross-eye Friends! Anyway... its HOT!
  15. Congrat's with BIG warm ((hugs)). Im sitting here thinking of the many wonderful memories of my 3 pregnancies. But the first is always the most exciting... so many new and unknown expriences that bind you and hubby together. LOL... a baby doodle!

Ha! I think thats only a Texas store now. BUT - in North Carolina they have a grocery store called Harris Teeter!!! Mike has his own name for that one.
  20. GIRL! you have waaaay too much energy this morning. I just thought about this one. And the only thing that came to my mind has NOTHING to do with my physical self, but has to do with my inner self...... so, my new habit that I will strive to do for 1 full week is NOT hollar at my kids and hug each kid 3 x's a day. Thats 9 hugs a day for me and NO sore thoat. And Ill even throw in a little something for Mike *wink wink* .
