Funniest Things Your Kids Have Ever Said
Im on a new thread roll today.... I think this is number 4! Anne Marie (4yr old) just came to me and said, "Mommy, for my next birthday, I want to get married." So I asked her (of coarse), "Who do you want to marry?" You know, thinking its a little boy from school or someone like that. She says, "The popsickle man!" So, I asked her, "What? Why the popsickle man?" Her response... "Because I LOVE popsickles so much. I want to marry the man that drives the popsickle truck!" LMBO! So, what funny thing have your kids said lately?

Dwpb?!
I have! Couple of times actually. we were on a road trip traveling on I-10, going about 73mph. Didnt have much warning with this one. I asked Mike to get me something (I was driving), but it was too late. another time was just the other day. I was running errands and felt the urge. I turned into a residential neighborhood to open my van door and let it go into the street, but there was some dude cutting his grass. So I drove (flew) down the street (so he wouldnt be suspecious) and there was a kid (teen) riding a bike. Im having a moment here and cant find a private spot to pb in! Finally! I made it to a secluded area just in time.

Penni, that tree IS beautiful. Its the background that makes it so eye catching. And I have NO idea why this dufus (DH) NEVER smiles in pics! I just reviewed ALL the male pics on this thread and all of them have smiles - except for him! *rolling my eyes* Esmerelda, GIRL! You are a knock out! *Im making a formal request for you to change your avator pic to the new one* Lisa, loved all the pics, but my favorite is the last one! I even laughed out loud.

Swimming Pool Exercises
Betty, Since we went on vacation, THEN we moved, I cant seem to get myself back into a routine. I guess me posting this thread is to kick my own butt into high gear and start exercising again. I was totally amazed at what a little exercising did to this big momma! I even worked myself up to using filled 20 oz Water bottles as arm weights. Anyway, I went yesterday to exercise and found myself back to square one. 10 minutes and no water bottles. Are you doing any special exercises? Or just continusely moving aound?

Swimming Pool Exercises
This is for those of you that never exercise (like me)! Ive been banded nearly a year now. NEVER exercised. Oh, maybe I would get motivated here and there, but never lasted more then 2 weeks. Well, summer started and I wanted to get my bat wings looking spify! So every day I started doing aerobics in the pool (my parents have one). No special techniques. No special Water exercises. Just plain ole jumping jacks with arm lifts above the water. I would time myself for 1 minute then change arm movements for another minute. Before long I had been exercising for 10 minutes. That was pretty much my maximum time limit! I did this for about... yep, 2 weeks! The results? I lost inches - from everywhere. But especially the upper arm area. 2 weeks worth of exercising and what a difference it made!

First shower after surgery....
As soon as I was home! Like the others, I just let the Water run over my belly and focused washing on other areas.

1st fill, it just doesn't feel right...worried
Hamu, First off, stay clear of tomato soup for the next week. Tomato's are acidic and could cause stomach problems. Also *avoid* like the plague, advil! Thats an ansaid product and could lead to future problems with your band. You have a higher level of perseverance, cause I wouldve called my sugeon back by now and asked for his opinion on this. Are you better today? Try sipping on warm broth and see what happens. *please* let us know!

Labor Day Weightloss Challenge
Next Monday, Labor Day will only be 10 weeks away! Anyone wanna go for -10 in 10 weeks? I sure need this boost! Im guessing that Jonathan is in transition right now, and will put our info into his site as soon as he checks in. He wanted before/after pics on this challenge. But Ill wait till he gets back and let him persue that avenue! We can start on Monday - and weigh in every Monday afterwards. And you are welcome to set your own "goal". -10 in 10 weeks is a fairly decent weightloss goal for most of us to aim for. Anyone???

What NOT to Wear?
LOL... Kathy, you are too funny! The tank-top/cami thing is supposed to be losely fitted, but not skin tight. And about the capri's... you have to be comfortable in what you are wearing! But to back up the idea, nobody ever really pays attention to that portion of your legs... especially if you have some cute flip flops to go along with them. (I know, Zoe hates capri's too ) but heck, its alot cooler then wearing those heavy jeans! And the flip flop idea... ok, this summer I am flip flop momma! Bright yellow pair from KMart, 4 cool colors from Target and the list goes on... some are really comfy - and cheap! No more then 5 bucks a pair! (flip flops are not for everyone) And hey - what about a pic styling those new threads for us????

After fill, minus 5# in 5 days...too tight?
Hi Kim! Wow -5 pounds in 5 days IS alot. From your stats, you seem to be at a good spot, but only YOU can determine this. You may like having a tad less restiction - so you can "partake" a little longer. Again, its your call! If you continue with the weakness, I would definately recommed a slight unfill. Good luck, and enjoy that "not hungry" feeling for the rest of us
